What I like about Seagal's movies is they still arguably have some of the best Japanese martial arts on film. I did Aikido, and I think it's pretty goofy and useless for the most part, and I do BJJ/Judo now, but one thing I like about Seagal's moves was they had grappling in them. You're seeing some cool Jiu-Jitsu and Judo in movies now like John Wick, and stuff now and then, but before Seagal it was mostly Kung Fu and Karate flicks. Seagal as far as I know was the first to have lost of limb breaks and things like that which was always fun. Then he's always substitute metal bars or sticks or katana (sword) work.

So I guess I like that part about his movies. So I appreciate basically everything up through Under Siege (Above the Law, Hard to Kill, Out for Justice, Marked for Death, and maybe another?) Under Siege 2 was okay I guess but sucked compared to the first one and On Deadly Ground had 1-2 cool scenes but overall was preachy and was maybe the last movie he did before his Blockbuster/Redbox career? I dunno.

Weird human being. Very strange and full of shyt. Decent at Aikido but never really fought anyone. I always heard he treated his stuntmen like shyt, hurt them, harassed women, and got choked out by Judo Gene LeBell on the set of Under Siege. I could watch some fight scenes on youtube but I'd never watch a whole Seagal flick again unless it was Under Siege and that's because Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey are so damn good in it.

You not a 90s Kid if Segal's VHS didn't Go HAM in your crib:banderas:

...a Rasta Killa with Blue-Eyes and zero fukks to give; Marked for Death:lawd:

"Wat mi run fo, mi run fo nuthin," then Steven proceeds to break the Dread arm in half:dead:
Man I can't remember what movie it was, but I met a guy about 10 years ago that was a stunt man for one of Seagal's flicks and they gave him a prosthetic arm that Seagal snapped. The Marked for Death arm break you're talking about is the one I remember the most but this guy was a regular looking white dude so it must've been a different movie.

How u figure Akido is useless?? Police depts and military still use it in training and it's damn good for disarming any attacker from all angles

The Seagal joints with 3 syllables in the title were piff. :banderas:

'Marked For Death' is an unitentional classic for the following reasons:

Seagal speaking patois.
"Kill the Whiteboy Hatcher :birdman:"

Unwittingly calling US Customs out for being so :mjpls:they would allow someone to enter the country with a Rastaman's severed head in their carry on luggage.

Patrice said it best though

"Casey fukking Ryback?!?! He trains the people, that train people who train people! He trains the trainers!" :russ:

After hard to kill seagal contract must stated that he shouldn't be injured in any of his movies..

He go through movies with no injuries at all not even a shirt ripped

I think the main villain from Under Siege 2 got one or two hits in but he promptly gets destroyed :dead:

Seagal was on that Walker Texas Ranger steez. I believe Chuck Norris said all the irredeemable bad guys in the show either had to get clapped or thrown in prison. :russ:
