Yes. My grandfather's house is literally a stone's throw from the PJs. I grew up there from 6 to 18. Never looked back after I went off to college. Now I'm as far as I can get from around the way.

I moved around a lot and it's only when I got older I could see that those neighborhoods were terrible. Didn't bother me any really, I never knew it. I played outside and did a bunch of other little kid shyt. Met kids who I just figured were bad kids.

Things changed when I hit my teens though, cause my life got a bit worse then and I would actually notice it. It didn't help that I went to school with kids who bragged about their 600k houses and shyt. I moved around too much to ever be immersed in any awful shyt. Fights and things were just normal.

Started from the bottom now I'm in a 2 story house in the burbs taking care of my fam....

Don't get it twisted though, the main reason I was able to get a house is because me and my wife stayed in the hood for 2 years (when we didn't have to) just so we could save money so we could get a house...

I'm not no superthug or anything like that.... but I could go back to living in the hood tomorrow and wouldn't think anything off it..
