I read everything I could get my hands on when I was a kid, including comic books. My best friend put me on because he'd read spider man and x men and that was the gateway. That was like kindergarten
Islam?I grew up in a strict religious family who believed comic book were from the devil and pretty much all my friends and family were from the same religion
So no one I knew has comics
I collected as I'm older as well.. maybe older than you since you said were in HS in the 90s and I graduated 90..
Comics fell off in the 90s because shyt turned to gimmicks... I got tired of the constant #1s then #0 then the Variant Cover and this new separate mini series.... as a collector it got expensive and I know a few others who felt the same way...
the 90s cartoons (xmen, spiderman, ironman, etc) just added to my comic lore.. its not the only lore I know (insert Bryan Singer here)
did you ever read this?Growing up in Europe the only I saw on the reg was a weekly Disney comic featuring Donald Duck, Scrooge, Mickey Mouse and such characters.
did you ever read this?
Yup. I watched it all. Batman TAS might be my favorite show ever. Watched the Hulk cartoon and used to get up at like 6AM on Saturdays just to catch Ironman and Fantastic Four.I agree with you. Comic books went bust in the mid 90s so a lot of us late 80s and early 90s kids grew up differently from people born before and after our era.
Our generation has more of an affinity towards Pokemon, Wrestling, and DBZ than physical comic books. With that said, I watched every comic book based cartoon I could find growing up.
its the same editor as spiroux but I remember reading this as a kid I was addictedThe style reminds me of TinTin and Asterix but no I've never seen this.
