PS5 looking mighty nice.

Xbox Series X is lacking, but only slightly.

If you get a Series S, you should have just bought an Xbox One X. shyt is such an impulse buy item.

All the debating before the console even released was pointless. All that shyt was about HOPING a console was going to preform well.

Now we can actually see the shyt. Lets see these nikkas debate now!

In two years no one will care. MS needed to come out of the gate on fire. PS5 will be dominating and Switch 2 will be on the verge of launching.

Switch 2 isn't going to affect anything here. I bought Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity yesterday . How many people here do you really think is buying that? That's an entirely different lane. Neither of these consoles are going to either being out there in large enough quantities for Digital Foundry comparisons to matter. But again, are we talking about sales or console hardware strengths? People like to conflate the two. Developers are always going to push console hardware. The best version of rdr2 is on the Xbox One X. I would also bet that the least amount of people played that version.

I distinctly remember when the dreamcast had better versions of games than the ps2. I don't recall that hurting Sony. Games like Dead or Alive 2, Grandia 2, Virtua Tennis 2 and Crazy Taxi all ran better on the dreamcast than they did the ps2. Does next to anyone remember that? Of course they don't because it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things when it comes to how the system is viewed and/or remembered, just like dmc5 and dirt 5 don't matter now.

If battles were won in the beginning, then falcons would have been declared the winner of Super Bowl 51. Give it some time.

The thing is these ps5/xboxseries comparisons don’t have a large gap anyway so if xbox eventually gets a game taht looks better the difference will be marginal at best. Not the clear “play it better on xbox” marketing they’ve been using. Like PlayStation fans have been saying all year the difference won’t be great enough to justify the purchase of a xbox. They thought PlayStation would be 1080p 60fps, and xbox would be doing native 4k 60fps with ray tracing or even 120fps and it’s just not the case. As if the gap between the two consoles would be like a switch or a console and a high end pc and they will more or less be the same.

The multiplatforms will look the same if not slightly better on one system or the other. If 3rd party continues to support dual sense the clear multi platform console of choice is gonna be ps5.

And at the end of the day like we said, the series s is a rip off when you realize you can get a fully functional ps5 for a 100 dollars more.
The gaps don’t have to be large to be noticeable.
