I've never compared Dexter to any other show, and even at its best it was never going to be part of the Holy Trinity of The Sopranos, The Wire, & Mad Men. It will always be a personal favorite, season 8 pretty much threw away everything you knew about Dexter and it made it into a family show. You can easily stop watching at Season 5 and not miss anything.

The first 4 Seasons of Dexter are on par with the first 4 of BB...and arguably a bit more entertaining.

Absolutely in compsrison to 5 and 6. Louis Green should've been the villain here without the Hannah bullshyt and mish mosh of the Russian, regardless of how great he was.

The premier is in my group of key, relevant episodes to the series that must be seen. Dexter beating the shyt out of dude was one of the most intense sequences on the show, period. But it was titled "My Bad". The Mickey Mouse ears. The callback to 6 Feet Under. It had humor to it that really set the wrong tone for what was a huge event in the show and it all went down from there. Solid episode. But top 10?

I'm gonna look at those lists in a bit just to compare.

Dexter is a starter tv show for people who are used to USA and CW dramas. doesn't mean its without merit but anyone stanning it is fukking nuts

lost had the highest peak of any show (maybe ever) but if you bought stock in season 1 or season 2 and held onto it past season 3 you would have ended up broke as fukk. that was the fall offs of all fall offs. the equivalent of mj in his prime struggling to make the 12th spot off the bench.

breaking bad was great all the way through. also it gets bonus points for having a final season that delivered in just about every conceivable way. almost every episode was classic.

but for me personally i would take prime dexter over it (seasons 1-4).

Breaking Bad was better. It was good throughout. Dexter's falloff can't be ignored. That shyt got real bad. Plus the finale ruined it even more. That shyt can't be forgiven.

Breh, take the hype out of it, the first 2 seasons of Dexter was definitely >>>>>> first 2 seasons of Breaking Bad.

Season 3 and 4 are debatable, but Dexter to that point was still great. I will say that BB picked up tremendously starting season 3.
