They gotta go big on defense in FA and the draft. No bullshyt.
Let’s see.

Detroit needs a quarterback. Another WR to go opposite Amon. Another TE.

And pretty much an entire new defensive front.

Dan Campbell will be fired in a year. Maybe 18 months. And they’re going to waste Amon’s talent. They’re wasting Jamaal Williams’ talent. They wasted Hockenson’s talent. And they’ve done nothing to build a foundation since wasting Megatron’s talent.

The Lions are awful. And will be awful for some time.

You don’t seem to know much about lions. Not sure why you bumped this thread after a lions victory.

Lions have a pretty solid offense when healthy. One of the best Olines in NFL. Lions just drafted Jameson Williams who should be ready in a couple weeks. Was regarded as best WR in last draft class. Chark got hurt early. Swift banged up. Jamal Williams is a backup rb. Hockenson is mediocre as hell. Never lived up to Iowa hype and draft status

The D front has pieces. Drafted Hutch, Pascal who look solid. Alim is good NT. Definitely need a pure pass rusher

Lions have such a bad record due to injuries and coaching. Talent wise they should atleast have 3-4 wins. No faith in Campbell but pretty confident in Brad Holmes drafting so far.

I honestly think Goff would work with this team. They've lost a lot of games solely because they couldn't protect leads. They've lost so many one-possession games under Campbell. Yeah, part of that is coaching but we've seen their defense let things get away from them.

I'm assuming they are counting on Jameson to be that WR opposite Amon-Ra. Not sure on his health so it couldn't hurt to get a big-bodied/contested catch winner since DJ Chark was a bust signing due to injury. As far as TE, I think Hock was a damn good one, but it also doesn't seem as if the TE is meant to be anything beyond "a sure-handed, good blocker that can bail out a QB here and there" for Detroit. Hock has "centerpiece of the passing attack" ability, IMO.

Hutchinson looks solid, so they at least have the cornerstone up front.

The Lions have a LONG way to go, but if nothing else, Campbell gets every ounce of effort out of those boys, and that is an essential quality for a good coach.
