thank liberalism.

Detroit was once a beacon for liberalism, only a matter of time before it crashed and burned. Liberalism always does, couple that with the white flight and it was really going down the way of the dinosaur...

This state isn't as liberal as you can think... plus you can't really shyt on Metro Detroit Chris B.. it's one of the best areas for pawgs and white girls.....

A pension system 9 billion dollars in debt for a city of a little over half a million people, lol. But the liberal solution is simple: raise revenues so the corrupt city workers who mismanaged the city can get even bigger pensions/retiree benefits!

The market can fix it, inept public workers can't.

Well, I also miss some of the black events and festivals that they are slowly taking away because some of those were cultural. Pretty soon we will have no Afro Caribbean, African, even the Jazz festival and other food ones won't be the same. I'm not gonna pretend like the fireworks wasn't good without all the ******ishness though.

The only good thing is that these new young mid town whites aren't focused on that race shyt as much as the average white person. They worry about festival shyt, hipster bars, riding bicycles n shyt.

I don't think it will kill the small businesses and local entrepreneurship... the business side is one of the main entities pushing the gov and others to go bankrupt, move the project blacks far away from downtown, and to reshape the identity of Detroit. If there was ever a time to set up shop, it's right now.

I hate everything about 8 mile.. on one side you see everything wrong w black america and you have the deadliest neighborhoods in America, on the other side you have whites who hate black people more than whites in Mississippi and who blame blacks for the overall failing economy of MI. Plus the eastpointe and other east sub police target black people like it's the 30's.

how do you think the freedom place apts fit into all this shyt? ? its right across the street from wayne and ghetto as fukk, lol, it seems weird for them to leave that there. I guess it's just too many blacks to move at once.

I don't think they can rightfully get rid of those festivals...the issue with those is funding. Sponsors weren't latching on because of the issues that came with them. Remember Macy's/Target was gonna end the fireworks because of the shootings and stuff every years at them. But the Jazz fests and Boat Races, and Caribbean festivals are all in talks of renewing festivals and events for the next few years. Also remember as well, lots of people who sponsored and held these events were well to do black folks that left the city as well. :beli:

And Freedom Place is ratchet ass hell but its not offensive, majority of the fukkery happens inside the complex and not to mention its one of the more chill complexes in the area. It isn't MLK, oh god :snoop: lol

all of those poor peoples pensions

:to:

They knew it was coming too. Orr couldn't even get any leeway in negotiating to stave off the funding problems, and all these motherfukkers who will cry woe is me over their pension losses were the same people voting, again and again, for moronic politicians like Kilpatrick and for pension agreements everyone knew were practically unfunded. You mean to tell me your surprised the city runs out of money when you run 300 mil budget gaps and don't fund any of the compensation you give to yourself??!

Look at the debate now over suing the city to guarantee the returns. These people don't give a fukk about their city, all they care about is getting the $ they voted themselves to receive, even when the well is completely dry.

I don't know how municipality bankruptcies work but in a typical bankruptcy creditors have first dibs on any assets left.

We're going to have fights over pensions now being played out in courts instead of having the creditors and the city coming to an agreement. :wow:

Both sides could of taken a haircut but now you're going to have some federal judge decide. And lately rulings haven't been coming out in favor of the little guy. This is going to set some precedents.
