Yeah probably or just have Kyrie check Rose

Either way, Bron def checking Jimmy

that's possible, but bron is now 30+, and I doubt he wants to guard jimmy on defense, while carrying the load on offense if he doesn't have to. especially when the cavs have defensive specialist like shumpert who can fill the role of guarding the best wing player.

Why not? It's not like Thibs would post up Dunleavy anyway. Seems like an easy switch to make if your CLE to preserve Kyrie.

I ain't getting too far ahead of anything though, need to see them put whoever they face in Round 1 away before I think about that CLE matchup. Bucks kind of scary, low key

:patrice:

:aicmon:

dunleavy is a full 8" taller than kyrie. given that kinda crazy height mis-match, most NBA players can easily shoot over the shorter player.

And when has Thibs ever really exploited a matchup with Mike Dunleavy?

breh, Bron is 100% checking Jimmy for the majority of the series

unless when Cavs go small (which I expect them to do alot), even then he still might be glued to Jimmy

Bron doesnt need to carry the load on offense, he has Kyrie & Love

Hasn't jr looked better on defense than shump?

Shump isn't starting anyway

And I promise, if kyrie gets stuck on Rose, he's going to do everything he can to embarrass him

Yeah, JR will play for the most part.

Or they go small ALOT (which I think they will)

Kyrie
JR
Shump
Bron
Love/Thompson/Mosgov

thats the lineup they ran against us the last time they played us, and we were getting killed on it.

I have serious doubts Thibs can manage the rotation well enough to combat the Cavs small ball. It would require him not playing Taj/Pau/Noah together. Niko would have to be at the 4 ALOT more.

Mirotic at PF is the key for us in the playoffs...

Cavs would have to mess around and put Lebron on Mirotic...cause we know Love aint stopping him...

Rose
Butler
Snell or Dunleavy
Mirotic
Noah or pau or even taj.. Not sure how taj matches up rebounding with love

That lineup doesn't scare me much.. Theyre basically just going to try to out score us with that lineup.. The paint will be wide open and their perimeter defense has improved with jr and shump but it's still not that blitzing Heat defense

Pau needs to play like pau though

I know, but it worked very well for them a couple weeks ago. Alot of that had to do with Thibs not adjusting though

I SAW ROSE GO OFF 3 TIMES AGAINST THEM,
AND WE WENT 1-2 IN THOSE GAMES
BECAUSE THEY NEUTRALIZED EVERYBODY ELSE.

IM NOT GASSED OFF THAT LAST WIN AGAINST THEM.
NIKO PLAYED NICE BUT THEY WIZ DIDNT COME INTO THAT GAME WITH THE SAME MINDSTATE
BECAUSE ROSE, JIMMY & TAJ WERE OUT...
NENE GOT INTO EARLY FOUL TROUBLE SO PAU DIDNT HAVE TO DEAL WITH HIM.

I mean, I am concerned with them. I'd rather play Toronto if I had my pick. Obviously the best route to go is facing Milwaukee round 1, that should be a 5 game series.

I still think we beat Washington this time around though. Thibs needs to not be outcoached(I.E. make adjustments) and Noah/Taj need to do a better job checking Nene. I cant explain the Jimmy shyt, but simply put, I dont expect him to continue playing his worst ball aganist them all series. Thibs stopped trying to post Pau against physical bigs. I think we could just spread the floor and beat the Wiz that way. We just need to win the rebound battle, limit TO's and guard the pick and roll better.

I noticed you have Toronto beating ATL? Interesting.

Who is guarding Mirotic on the Wizards?... Nene?...Gortat?

That's our ace...
Pierce/Porter because Thibs wont play Niko at the 4 :francis:

He eviscerated Nene/Gooden earlier this year but thats when Taj was out
