Love it. It's absolutely night & day from the Rose who could seemingly barely handle the ball without it slipping out of his hands on 12/30/14 vs the Nets (went 2-15 that game too). To the Rose who dictated the tempo, and had command of the game on 04/14/15 vs the same team. Those full court bullet passes to ignite the break (huge. Bulls rank 23rd in BRK PTS).... The outlet passes to Rose off of opposing team's misses, which allows him to get the rock and just go.... The weaving in & out of traffic and dropping it off to his big for easy baskets/wide open jump shots....

Other players have contributed, but these past few games as they become more lenient with the minutes, have had his fingerprints all over it. His confidence in what he can do is visibly growing.

Gotta agree there. Rose had this tendency to not be able to handle the ball a lot early in the season. His handles seem to be getting back to what it once was. He had d will on skates a couple times last night.

Kyrie got to deal with that boy who made him cha cha slide for a 7 game series :blessed:

man, I saw pau with a GANG of dunks last night. and the offense definitely moves faster with rose out there pushing the tempo. if he's gonna play ball with relatively few turnovers and start racking up assist #'s, thats great for us, cuz that means our other players will be in position to get easy scores, which means rose won't have to shoulder much of the scoring load at all.

Your only seeing it from 1 side. What he gains in disadvantages on the perimeter we lose on rebounding and low post defense, both areas taj help us greatly in.

In some circumstances he should get some time at the 4, but our roster is our roster. I said in the beginning of the season since we signed pau and brought niko over we should have traded taj. But team don't do shyt , didn't do shyt, now we got taj and Niko getting in each other way, and if they are not played right, it could cost us a series.

But niko has to knock his shots down, whether he at the 3 or 4. A position shouldn't have any bearing on niko knocking down outside shots being set up for him. And this the only way this works. Unless thibs gets bold and sits noah and play him minimal minutes, which we know he won't do.

Nah breh, you can just see the nature of his shots change when he plays the 3. Hes not the same shooter coming off curls & screens, he doesnt have that shyt down yet. He's also not quick enough to get open in those scenarios with a wing checking him

When he is at the 4, he sees open, set shot looks all day long. Our guards penetrate, and the big checking Niko is forced to help in the paint. Those are the type of 3's we want Niko taking (last night being a GREAT example)

Breh, in no way, shape or form is Niko nearly as effective at he 3. It negates the huge matchup problems he presents

Look at the games before Taj(since March), and look at the games with Taj ... and then look at last night without Noah. Its very clear

I think you missing what I'm saying, the role of him as a stretch 4 I agree with. My argument is not what position he is better at. My point is, what are we supposed to do about that now? This front office would not part with taj. They are not going to reduce noah role. And taj has a need on the floor. So what are they supposed to do so we can win now?

Niko has to find his shot at the 3 to get minutes on the floor. He is better when a 4 has to step out and defend him, I agree with that, but he has to find a way to be effective at the 3 so he can get minutes. There will be times when thibs can put taj at the 5 and Niko at the 4, but to close games, niko has to be at the 3. He has to be a shot maker regardless of position tho.

to the bolded:

Thibs might need to reduce Taj (or Jo/Pau) role to get Niko more time at the 4

I really dont know the proper way to handle it breh, Thibs gets paid the big bucks to handle shyt like that :yeshrug:

Why not? It's not like Thibs would post up Dunleavy anyway. Seems like an easy switch to make if your CLE to preserve Kyrie.

I ain't getting too far ahead of anything though, need to see them put whoever they face in Round 1 away before I think about that CLE matchup. Bucks kind of scary, low key
