I doubt they'll actual go that far.

They smart play here is to use the indefinite suspension move. For everyone who doesn't follow football and is just following this story, it looks like they hit him with some real shyt. For those that follow the game, we'll recognize that "indefinite" really just means "one full season, as long as you don't fukk some other shyt up before next training camp".

That clause where indefinitely suspended players have to apply for reinstatement is automatic redemption story bait. All Watson has to do is keep it vanilla in his sex life for a year or so, and have some light reading memorized for his interviews he does around his reinstatement to appear contrite, and this is likely the end of it, assuming no other fukkery occurs.

That's just a bunch of words, breh. While he was foul, Watson wasn't descriminating against women while running a school that accepts federal funding, or denying any woman her right to an abortion.

He *ahem* may or may not have acted inappropriately with SEVERAL women, and is currently working through legal terms to settle these issues. He'll get an indefinite suspension, and by the terms of that particular suspension, can be back as early as next year, as long as he's shown appropriate behavior since then. Any other course of action (including denying Watson's reinstatement this time next year if he's on his best behavior and whatnot) is begging for him to appeal, and make this even messier than it already is.

I would guess that Watson and the NFLPA are going to try and argue for an exact suspension number and I can see why in a way. The league is not trying to have another Ray Rice situation where more evidence/accusers come into play after they've already levied their suspension.

The one accuser in particular that really works against him is the one chick that was crying after the incident happened and had the text message exchange with that some dudes on here were initially downplaying.

even though this nikka is a degenerate deviant scumbag.

Legally the NFL should have no grounds to suspend him. Its min bogglin to me that the NFLPA allows these kind of suspensions to happen.

99.99% of NFL players are never going to even up in that type of situation to even end up being punished by the Commissioner and the NFL, so why would they care about this situation? Dudes on here were talking all that shyt last year about how AB deserved to be suspended by the NFL for all the shyt he was involved in eventhough he was never charged or convicted of a crime, but are now griping that the same thing is happening to Watson :mjlol:

Granted I was one of those people said he should be suspended for 1-2 games, but that not because of the allegations or what he was accused but the fact that he was dumb enough to text his accuser and essentially try to "intimidate" her even if that wasn't what he was trying to do.

At the end of the day, people need to realize Goodell has ALL of the power here. He suspended Brady for four games because he doesn't understand science and was embarrassed.

Watson is going to be out indefinitely.

Which cover's the NFL's ass in the event that more evidence and lawsuits come out against Watson.

That year doesn't mean shyt, breh. They spent an entire year listing him as "Inactive-Personal", and he still got paid his scheduled salary. If neither he, the team, or the league were willing to call it a punishment when it happened, then they're not able to claim it retroactively.

Breh essentially got a year paid vacation to settle his affairs, and somehow didn't. :yeshrug:
Yeah I don't think he can try to make that argument especially when he made the trade demand and said he never wanted to play for team again.

i know its just a suggestion and maybe not even being brought up. But if I was Deshaun. I'd just a take this deal in a heartbeat

If that were an option, he should take it yesterday.

However, no way in hell the NFL offers him a deal like that. The hammer is going to be brought.

This would be the biggest BS ever. He willingly chose to sit out 2021. The public would rightfully go crazy if a serial sexual predator gets an 8 game suspension.

It's amazing that people get paid to write shyt like this.

Was it willingly though? Didn't HOU choose not to play him?
