That's why all if the information on the settlements are disclosed, everybody shuts the fukk up, he takes the year long suspension after settling everything and when training camp starts next year you hear very little about this. shyt was actually smart as hell by EVERYONE involved.

That year doesn't mean shyt, breh. They spent an entire year listing him as "Inactive-Personal", and he still got paid his scheduled salary. If neither he, the team, or the league were willing to call it a punishment when it happened, then they're not able to claim it retroactively.
Breh essentially got a year paid vacation to settle his affairs, and somehow didn't.
I doubt they'll actual go that far.
They smart play here is to use the indefinite suspension move. For everyone who doesn't follow football and is just following this story, it looks like they hit him with some real shyt. For those that follow the game, we'll recognize that "indefinite" really just means "one full season, as long as you don't fukk some other shyt up before next training camp".
That clause where indefinitely suspended players have to apply for reinstatement is automatic redemption story bait. All Watson has to do is keep it vanilla in his sex life for a year or so, and have some light reading memorized for his interviews he does around his reinstatement to appear contrite, and this is likely the end of it, assuming no other fukkery occurs.
