What is “less punishment?”. What history are you basing this off of. You do know that players have the right to appeal suspensions, right?

There has to be some reference point. Him not being criminally charged has had a significant impact on his situation. A 230 million dollar impact

You're totally correct that they have the right to appeal their suspension, but who do you think is over the appeal process? The same entity that levies the punishment in the first place. That's the entire point. The NFL has the power to dictate the suspension and the amount of games the suspension can be reduced by.

At this point, Watson is essentially at the mercy of Goodell and whether they choose to make an example out of him or not.

Na wat u sayin is if we don’t agree he a pervert we’ve committed this behavior ourselves U just said that

Deshaun Watson case provin y’all nikkas to be the twitter bytches y’all hate

If you read some of the justifications that dudes are making in this thread for his actions, you can totally make that assumption. A lot of dudes in here sound grimey as hell and that's my personal opinion. You're more than welcome to disagree with it, but the comments in here are grimey and victim blaming.

I think it's now obvious beyond a reasonable doubt that Deshaun was using these massage sessions as a tool to get sex from women. Whether he did anything criminal is still up for grabs. But I don't see any rational person buying Deshaun's claim that he was just looking for massages and nothing else.

I think the fact he was trying to get sex from women using massage sessions as a cover is enough by itself to warrant a lengthy suspension from the NFL. This is not the sort of behavior a league like the NFL wants to be associated with.

Browns didn't do no research on this nikka at all, he's suspended for this year at a MINIMUM

I think the NFL will ban him indefinitely like they did Josh Gordon. He'll have to close all these cases and then jump through hoops to show he's rehabilitated before playing in the league again.

A one year suspension will not cut it. Especially after MLB suspended Trevor Bauer for 2 years for what he did to just one woman. Deshaun got 24 women suing him. He'll get the book thrown at him.

That’s not true. The case is assigned to two different officers. Derrick Brooks or James Thrash. These 2 individuals are jointly paid by the nfl and the players association, which means no bias.

The players association does not want Watson suspended and they certainly don’t want his contract voided

You’re right, they all work together, which is why Watson wouldnt have never been traded or awarded a contract unless all of this information was already known and taken into account. Goodell works for the owners, not the other way around

If he gets suspended the whole Texans organization gets fined too and loses shyt because they enabled it. If anything, this gives more credence to the argument that they gave the greenlight once he demanded out. This shyt is mad messy.

Fam they just had an owner caught up in a human trafficking scheme. How did that end?

If he gets suspended then it needs to be for either a LONG time or an outright ban. The league would look bad if its too short.

Indefinite ban is the only thing that makes sense right now.

If they can do it to Josh Gordon cause he likes to smoke weed, then I don't know why they wouldn't do it to a nikka whose addicted to using massages as a way to get sexual acts from unwilling women.

That’s not up to the Player’s Association as prior precedent they helped sign off on gave the Commissioner power to suspended even with you not being charged with a crime. I brought that exact point up last year with AB and people insisted that he be suspended even when he never got charged or convicted of anything.

We also need to start looking at organizations who suppress these stories from coming out and then come negotiation time, let this stuff slip out. The Texans knew he was engaged in this sort of behavior for a long time, and it seems they were fine with a serial pervert engaging in his antics until he didn't want to resign and now the floodgates blew open. These organizations need to be held liable as well.

I would strip the Texans of those 1st round picks they got in the trade if this is true. They can't benefit from behavior they facilitated.

It doesn't need to be a crime to get suspended from the NFL. Calvin Ridley got a year for placing a $1500 bet and gambling on sports is perfectly legal.

That’s a half truth. GAmbling on sports is legal. NFL players can gamble on sports. Nfl players can not gamble on NFL games.

How much is Pornography to blame for this nikkas degeneracy? The fact that he was oddly eager to hang around Mia Khalifa the moment he hit the League suggests that shyt has completely rotted his brain.

I'm just glad he didn't take the p*ssy or some shyt.
Like one breh sad he probably grew up as a young kid watching weird massage parlor fetish porn and got hooked.
