I don't know why y'all trippin over 66 therapist in a 17-month span.

That works out to about one per week. Not that outlandish for professional athlete to get a massage once every week.

Besides, it's not 66 women that suing him, it's 24. The other 42 don't fukking matter. And a grand jury already said there's no evidence that the others brought. It's still a witch hunt to me. This is nothing.

He wasn't traded prior to the accusations because the Texans said they wouldn't trade him.

This all came out after he tried to hard ball the team into forcing them to trade him.

Do you follow sports?

That’s irrelevant to your point as we’re discussing why he wasn’t traded during the season, which was because of the lingering situation or he would have been in Miami instrad which is where he wanted to go in the first place.

There are absolutely big differences between the two.

-Watson has MANY more accusers than Big Ben did.

-We have seen text messages and social media conversations between Watson and multiple women.

-We are in the day of social media and the "Me Too" era.

Those are three major differences. In addition to that, the NFL didn't have a public history of "botching" discipline for cases of alleged assault and abuse like they have over the past 10-15 years. They are going to want to take a strong stand.

If I'm wrong, I'll admit it, but I HIGHLY doubt he only missed six games this year. I'm not going to say he's "suspended" for six games minimum, but he'll at least be on the exempt list for more than six games.

There’s a difference between sexual misconduct and rape. Ben got accused of rape twice in 3 years only to have both cases dropped (one ended in a civil suit) which resulted in a suspension of 6 games.

Most of these are allegations and he has not been charged. You’ve got people looking to get paid at this point.

The nfl is hoping this goes away quickly and i don’t think they would have allowed such a deal to go down without having this info already. 6-8 games max.

I’ll say this too cause not many will have any experience with rape victims. Dealing with this shyt in the ER over the years some of the dumb shyt I’ve heard police officers ask victims I can see why women don’t come forward. I’ve legit heard an officer ask a victim if she thought she did anything to cause the situation…

nikkas watch too many movies and think everything is a money grab when statistics show it’s a very low number…

The mindset that a lot of these dudes have on here about this situation is rather terrifying and I can only they’ve done in their own lives to justify that type of behavior.

Homey tripping. We’re just debating now the nfl will handle this. No one is condoning Watson being a weirdo creep

That’s not what I’m saying. What I’m saying is that just because he wasn’t charged doesn’t mean he will receive less punishment because of it. Dudes haven’t been paying attention to previous incidents if you think that’s the case.

Honestly, a lot of this shyt is disingenuous anyways as nikkas wanted the NFL to throw the book at AB when he wasn’t charged with anything either, but now it’s a problem with Watson.

He was held out last year Over his trade demands. Putting him on the exempt list would have been redundant.

He's going to be suspended but the nflpa will fight to make sure it's within the realm of other punishments. Regardless of the rightness or wrong was of what Watson has done the NFLPA has been consistent on attempting to limits the commissioners power to just dole out punishment willy nilly.

The problem here is that one, the players agreed to Goodell's current power in regards to punishment in the CBA, with the belief that the NFLPA would be able to step in when the punishment is egregious.

But the second problem is that there's no real precedent for other punishments like this to bring it in line with. Breh was out here engaging in sloppy fukkery on a scale you just don't see.

What is “less punishment?”. What history are you basing this off of. You do know that players have the right to appeal suspensions, right?

There has to be some reference point. Him not being criminally charged has had a significant impact on his situation. A 230 million dollar impact

100%. I’m not no feminist or anything but there are very plain and obvious reasons women don’t come forward to authorities immediately or at all. You see the reason in this very thread. And not just famous powerful dudes, even when it’s just a normal everyday dude. One of the famous most powerful young athletes in town? I don’t see how someone sees that number of allegations coupled with the text messages and just think they’re all lying. Wild to me. Hope I never have a daughter tbh
