Foolish how? Especially when it's looking more and more likely that he lied to the Browns. They'd have every right to recoup that money and no one would blame them for it. You better believe that those NFL contracts have moral clauses and Watson's situation wouldn't be any different especially with the severity of the accusations. If it wasn't a possibility, then the topic of voiding them wouldn't be mentioned.

This situation isn't the hill to die on as this nikka is grimey as hell and dudes look foolish in here for trying to downplay his actions.

There’s not much difference between this and the rothlisberger case imo.

I doubt he gets suspended for more than 6 games and I seriously doubt they attempt to void his contract.

What’s fukked up is that it seems like he had a massage fantasy kink more than anything which is weird cause there’s plenty of places he could have gone to make those dreams come true without anyone ever knowing.

Nah it’s about power

I worked around some NFL players and it was insanity what these dudes did in broad daylight to women and got away with it

Shiiiiit. Browns might consider legal action against the Texans too if they knew shyt that they didn’t bring to light. I mean 3 first round picks is a lot.

There’s a major difference between the two situations. Mainly the number of actual accusers and the fact now that it’s come out that the Texans were helping him with NDA’s at massage parlors he attended. Dude is not playing this year and anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't been paying attention.

If that report is true about the NDA’s the Texan’s security guy helped him out with, they have every right to. Who knows what else they knew about but helped him hide.

Some of us tried to tell some of you idiots from early on that he would be out for a minimum of one season, and that's without anything having been settled.

There is a VERY high probability he's done for this season as well. I'd say a minimum of eight games, but probably the season as of now if this latest alleged incident doesn't end in a quick settlement.

Even if it gets settled quick, he’s still not playing this season as the league will have to bring the hammer down on him like MLB did with Trevor Bauer even if it’s two different sports.

There are absolutely big differences between the two.

-Watson has MANY more accusers than Big Ben did.

-We have seen text messages and social media conversations between Watson and multiple women.

-We are in the day of social media and the "Me Too" era.

Those are three major differences. In addition to that, the NFL didn't have a public history of "botching" discipline for cases of alleged assault and abuse like they have over the past 10-15 years. They are going to want to take a strong stand.

If I'm wrong, I'll admit it, but I HIGHLY doubt he only missed six games this year. I'm not going to say he's "suspended" for six games minimum, but he'll at least be on the exempt list for more than six games.

League has a poor record on bringing down the hammer for stuff like this.

Objectively speaking, if the league wasn't outraged before what's the latest accusation accusing him of that we've heard already going to change?

He'll probably get his with 12 to 16 games which might get appealed down to 8 to 12 and we'll hear a lot about his rehab and counseling. Then nothing.

There isn't a huge difference between the two and the me too era is on life support.
