They can and they will the longer this situation drags out. They'll put him on the exempt list all season and then levy the suspension after, so technically they'll end up suspending him twice. Dudes thought I was crazy when I said that breh likely isn't playing this season.

His best bet at this point at to settle so the league can hurry up with an investigation and levy an supsension whatever amount it may be. If they put him on the exempt list, then it's a wrap until next year as the league is going to take their time with the investigation.
