Looks like they're pushing the same move in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Colorado, as well as in conservative districts in California and other places. Most of the ads aren't as bad as the Illinois ones but it's still an incredibly cynical way to play politics and spend money.

When you can't beat the GOP h2h divide them. I'm sure they're hoping moderate Republicans stay home or vote for Dems

Though it would be the most Democratic party theme to promote these crazies and then lose to them. Hopefully that doesn't happen

I get their "strategy" here but honestly it's a waste of money to try to buy a turnout that's still unpredictable.

People have wanted the Democrats to get more aggressive and play the Republicans at some of their own games. Well here you are, trying to promote horrendous candidates in hopes that'll be easy to beat ala Dr. Oz and Herschel Walker.

I understand the sentiment but the unintended consequences of this are fukked up. You're spending $35 million to prop up a far-right agenda. Even if you succeed, you've spent all that money promoting extremist positions and gassing up a bunch of extremist voters. Imagine the good that could be done with that money. Why not spend $35 million on voter turnout in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin? Or spend $35 million actually addressing real problems instead of dumping it into political races?

And worst-case scenario, you have a Trump 2016 situation on your hands and the candidate you most wanted to face ends up being your nightmare.

What's wrong with these left wing cacs :what:

They are willing to sacrifice vulnerable groups pushing this radical agenda to satisfy their pay masters :hubie:

AIPAC anyone:sas2:

It isn't.

Television ads in North Carolina have been telling voters for weeks that there is only one "proven progressive" on the ballot in the March 3 Democratic Senate primary, asking a series of rhetorical questions about who supports "Medicare for All", the Green New Deal and has the endorsement of progressives and unions.

The ads, funded by a group calling itself the Faith and Power PAC, proclaim that underdog candidate Erica Smith "is one of us."

Who formed the PAC? Republicans.

I don't think this garnered any faux outrage, but it's likely because they thought it would help CC

Trump was the front runner from basically the moment he declared. :pachaha:

Did you already forget Hilldog promoted him cuz she thought he would be an easy lay up? Not the exact same as this thread but very similar. This is a demonic strategy and could backfire just like it did in 2016.
