The country just did a wholesale rejection of the Dems “status quo” and the first thing the Dems want to do is blame those who didn’t want the status quo.
At least the R figured out how to manipulate the populace. The current Dems just looks down on them.

I’ll do my bit but you guys are going to have to learn

They're about to abandon every marginalized group to chase dumb racist cacs who don't even know that Obamacare and the ACA are the same thing.

This is why it's weird that that Indian doofus @☑︎#VoteDemocrat is so giddy to see trans people thrown under the bus: if they're willing to do that to them, they will do the same for everyone else.

It start with trans people, the goes to, "Well, almost half of women voted for Trump, so maybe abortion rights aren't a big deal."

Then it goes to, "Eh, who needs those immigrants? They were dirty and smelly anyway."

Until it finally goes to, "You know, black people... :jbhmm:"

Democrats are really showing who they are over the last week: they'll play into identity politics because they it won't hurt their donors' pockets, but they will throw marginalized groups under the bus with expedience once they find it politically advantageous.

You know the game

So we have Manchin and Sinema to thank for Trump.

And at no time did Kamala say she was gonna pass the BBB bill when she gets into office.

Dems are fukking terrible at messaging.

And they need to stop pretending that Sinemanchin are Dems, Blue Dogs Dems or Dem leaning Independents. They're not. They're fukking Republicans. So treat them that way.

So many dikkheads on here excused those two pieces of shyt too. "Would you rather a Republican be in their seat?" :unimpressed:

Biden and other Senate Dems never criticized them.

None of them will ever admit it and then proceed to type more nonsense in two years as they’ve learnt nothing.

I don't understand the thought process that goes in to some of the posts in here, it's like there is no room for nuanced thinking at all. It's as if there are only two options, either that something fits exactly to the ideology of the left or it is a complete failure. Is there any middle ground for outcomes that are not perfect but could have been worse? Can we at least admit that better is a preferable outcome to worse, or are is the dogma so strong that if something isn't perfectly to our liking, then it is a complete failure?

I have no love for Joe Manchin or Kirsten Sinema.

But which world is better, one in which none of the Dem agenda gets passed at all, or one in which some of it gets passed?

Ask the seniors who will have more affordable prescription drugs through Medicare over the next couple of years, or the citizens who will have access to more afgordable insulin. What do you think they'll say?

Which world is better? One in which the federal judiciary is stacked predominantly by Trump appointees from the Federalist society, or one in which more liberal judges with diverse backgrounds (including criminal defense attorneys) have also been appointed to counteract the right wing's focus on the judiciary?

That “some“ option is why Trump was re-elected. That’s the point.

If the some was stuff that was popular like the child tax credit and raising the minimum wage, I would be more sympathetic to the “Dems did materially improve peoples lives these last four years and the voters didn’t want that.“ That’s not what happened. That’s why those who said, “well at least Manchin and Sinema are Dems“ (funny enough, both left the Dems these past four years. Manchin sorta came back) should be criticized for the “vote blue no matter who“ nonsense they dropped.

you know that starts in 2026? Trump will take credit for this.

This is why Dems never hold onto power and depress their own base. Party of "see, we did SOMETHING," but never go all the way. You know what party DOES go all the way? The lunatics in the Republican party. :unimpressed:

Maybe before I die Dems will do the same but I'm not holding my breath.
