I mean, what's even the point? Even if there's a blue wave in 2026 and/or 2028, the idiots in this country will give Republicans back power sooner rather than later.

This is just another reason why I've become jaded with politics. I'm starting to view it as near pointless (at least federally) because of the huge amount of misinformation out there (primarily due to Fox News and social media) and also the education gap.

To make that federal change we need more done at the local level. Conservative nuts run wild in too many local governments. Emphasis is put on the national races because that is, obviously, where the most power is but it gets the best ratings/engagement/money/whatever

Tbh I think being jaded about politics in this country is healthy because it keeps you from accepting the slop our leaders spew. You were deeply engaged in this cycle so it'll take time to process the fukkery we just witnessed. But, with time and rest you'll have fresher eyes and a clearer head to the problems we're facing and you'll know what you as an individual have to do to help the process. Until then enjoy your holiday season and start planning on how you're gonna stack bread to survive the next four years

Ultimately though breh, we are black people. We been down before, we'll be down again, but as long as we have the will to fight we are never out. We lost a crucial battle but the war rages on
