Trump won on vibes. Is the Democratic party incapable of stomping him and his MAGA party into the dirt for the forseeable future with a rock solid agenda? I don't even care if they decide to go all 90s Clinton at this point (they shouldn't but that is a different debate), do they even have the cojones to stand on business regardless of their platform and make an effective case and back it up with policies that are effective?

The "socialist" Bernie Sanders is your regular degular center left politician in Europe. And there is a chasm between his platform and the platform of mainstream Democrats, which was dragged right by Bill Clinton in the 90s and has remained there with minor iterations by Obama.

Other developed Anglosphere countries:
Australia - Democrats are more or less the equivalent of Australia's Labor Party (which is the main "center-left" party in that country)
Canada - Democrats are more or less the equivalent of Canada's Liberal Party (which is the main "center-left" party in that country)
New Zealand - Democrats are more or less the equivalent of NZ's Labour Party (which is the main "center-left" party in that country)
UK - Democrats are more or less the equivalent of the the UK's Labour Party (which is the main "center-left" party in that country)
Developed East/Southeast Asian countries:
Japan - Japan has been ruled by a right-wing nationalist party since 1955 (with a few years of exception). Democrats are much more pro-LGBT and pro-immigration than pretty much any Japanese political party
South Korea - Similar to Japan. Dems social stances alone definitely wouldn't make them "center-right" in Korea lol.
Taiwan - Dems are more left-wing than the DPP (which is considered the main "center-left" party of Taiwan).
Singapore - The country is controlled by a single center-right party (People's Action Party) and has been since it's inception.

Democrats are to the right of major EU left-wing parties on healthcare. However, that doesn't make Dems "center-right". The primary reason why the United States doesn't have universal healthcare is because of unified Republican and conservative opposition. Democrats have tried to pass universal healthcare since FDR.
On the other hand, Democrats are to the left of pretty much every EU left-wing party on trans issues, immigration and even abortion.
Trump has a base who go with him no matter what, no one is denying that. He can't run in 4 years though.
Plus, you're ignoring the millions of people who normally vote Democrat but stayed home. Or the other millions of people on the fence. Or the other millions of people currently disgusted with both sides and won't even bother coming out to vote.
Again, it's not a problem if you believe this. If the Democratic party believes this then they're even more useless than I think they are right now
