weeks before that fight, Silva said that he wanted to beat him by submission. I think that's why he was barely putting any offense.me too, re-watching that first fight with chael at no point did silva look like he was in panic mode even though chael was getting his shots in. He was looking like he was waiting the whole match to set up his move.
And at the after fight press conference even though chael was the one doing all the punching to silva's face he ended up with more bruises, while silva's face was as clean as when he went first into the fight.

and shogun taking the fight with jones instead of rashad gave him a larger disadvantage where as the henderson injury gave jones an easier fight.. henderson always had that punchers chance.. if mw chael could have came up and laid on jones to the decision it would be hard to feel sorry for him

I completely agree Dana has his own agenda, but he needs fighters if there is going to be a show. This formula of replacing injured fighters has worked for 11 years until just now because the champ thinks he is being okey doked. It's that same formula that put Jones in position to get the title in the first place.
No, Jones didn't cancel the event but Dana clearly explained the situation and what would happen if they couldn't work out an opponent for the main event so Jones blame is more than "he just said no".
The only problem I have with Dana White is not backing Jones atleast publicly, it makes him look childish.
