Dana White threw Bones under the bus very quickly
He called a conference call and was blasting Bones and sh1tting on G Jackson basically blaming them for the cancellation of the event.
As someone said he tried to pull a fast one and it didn't work

For one thing jones is not white, and he is looking for a white champ so bad in the lhw and middleweight division so bad it's not even funny. He hates silva for his cockiness and arrogance, and bones i'm sure he hates him for similar reasons.

He's straight out of vince mcmahon's playbook...just like the last guy he had like that....and with ufc falling apart, or at least peaked, he was orchestrating a best opportunity for sonnen.neither one of these wrestling midgets can hold jones down.. at least henderson has the clinch and knockout power in his hands.. the only plus sonnen had going into this fight is he sells tickets/ppvs. the same shyt jones was crying about not wanting to face machida's boring ass for, not enough buys..
i dont think sonnen has ever knocked anyone out much less give anyone fits with his basic ass striking.. jon jones has never been put on his back so not sure where the trick bag was for jones with this stocky wrestler just coming from mw.

UFC used to translate to better viewing, back when they used to actually stack their cards in order to take the attention away from boxing.
Now, with Zuffa/UFC putting on shows about 2 times a month, the cards are getting way too watered down now compared to what it is

The funny thing is UFC 150 is considered one of the better cards on paper for this year. You should have put up that 145 card or the 148 card where those shows sold strictly on the main event and nothing else. I truly dont understand this fuel tv shyt. What good is it if no one has the channel? Why cant they put the cards on FX?

I think its more than that to be fair. Hes had feuds with Ortiz and Couture in the past also. I'm pretty sure Dana would like to have a white champ to appease to his primary fanbase because a fakkit like GSP isn't doing it. Silva has reach boss status where he can do whatever, fight whoever, and there isnt shyt Dana can do about it. Jones is fast approaching that level now also.

you know what.. this is how i look at this.. many many a time people have stepped up short notice and not backed down.. you claim to be a champion but cant fight anyone on any given night? really? what part of being a champion is that? so sonnen who i think would get obliterated by jones is too much of a challenge? Dan and Sonnen are entirely similar , it's not like training for a BJJ master and then getting a wrestler. Jones looks really really bad due to refusing to fight Sonnen, did sonnen deserve a title shot? no, but dana asked shogun and machida first and they aren't stupid, they know they need more time to prepare for jones

who i feel sorry for is all the people who dont have the kind of money some of these people have and went to the venue, and paid for tickets and hotel rooms and all of that, and now dont get a fight and probably cant even get refunds.

i just want to say i completely COMPLETELY agree with this poster
the UFC is putting on WAY too many events.. and it is watering down the cards a lot
1 card a mth would be plenty , allow for more build up/media hype. etc
they are over saturating the market their damn selves and that is going to be bad in the end if they dont realize it, im not saying they are losing money, but they are completely OVER doing the # of cards per year now
If I had to guess, it's because they're the first 2 fighters who could truly usurp him as the face of the company.
Yup it's was alot of pride and consternation that jones would go against dana and decline a fight. Which is why instead of quietly canceling the event because main card was not gonna work, he decided to throw jones under the bus.
