I don't put much value in recruit rankings. I don't view those guys as professional scouts. Also it's not easy for a true freshman that doesn't enroll early to come in and get on the field immediately. Those that do are truly exceptional talents and I never viewed dude as such. He can have potential that isn't realized yet. Nothing wrong with him not playing yet.
Cool

I agree with overall premise but he was ranked #1 recruit in nation, its understandable that people expect him to fall in that exceptional talent category.. Hope he develops tho.. He does have elite traits
I don't think he was the #1 recruit in the nation. Maybe at his position? But I never saw him as a Travis Hunter or even a Derek Stingley coming out of HS. I'm not surprised he isn't getting playing time yet, especially with him enrolling in the fall.

I see Rivals dropped him 15 spots in there final rankings whenever that was, he was #3 down to #18.. Still a five star on all platforms and #1 in nation at his position.

I think enrolling early and getting into a college strength and conditioning program along with the nutrition makes a ton of difference. He was listed at 165 in HS so probably was closer to 155.

Looking at the guys ranked behind him, I know AJ Harris enrolled early and has seen the field, Malik Muhammad enrolled early and he is playing meaningful snaps. Or it could be he wasn't actually the best CB in his class :yeshrug:but regardless he has elite athleticism so I hope it eventually comes together for him.

The Arsenal

i don't get players like this. like what was his goal in life? to be a 5 star recruit and get a college scholarship? ain't no money in that, the money is in making it to the NFL and you can't do that if you can't do this basic shyt in college. the grind isn't for everyone.

It's because in high school, you can survive just off having one freaky athletic trait (elite speed, crazy strong, polished skills etc).

In college, the you're surrounded by freak athletes that often have 2 or more crazy traits. Deion was GOAT at corner so he's gonna be harder on that position than he might be on the backup NT. Cormani is trying to do what he did in H.S. but that shyt is not working against good/great/elite P5 receivers. You gotta lift, study and do all that boring shyt to be effective on the field.

Could also be that Cormani is doing "ok" but Prime wants him to step it up more.

Wild…..I get everything he’s saying but put dude on the field and see what he can do.

Johnny Manziel didn’t do none of this shyt either and we saw what he did on Saturdays. I’m sure that goes for a lot of other players as well.

shyt happens EVERY year on EVERY big time campus, my fam had a player in his class enroll early, we had multiple RB hurt, he was gonna get fast tracked to a starting role as big shot local 4 star RB. This dude thought he was still big man on high school campus and didnt have to show up to weight training workout and was just being a knucklehead.. He had one of the DT step to him and they got into it a little, missed his opportunity and another freshman rb got 1st shot.. Dude ended up fat, outta shape, inseason there were more injuries so he had to play and he wasnt it..

Ended up transferring from big time D1 ball this close at shot in league to a sunbelt school.. he got 6 carries for 11 yards :snoop: This a kid who rushed for 2200+ yards in a season and broke state record in championship game with 330 yards..
