I get that Charlotte got fukked over by the whole Miles Bridges situation, but if their pivot is to trade for Julius Randle then LaMelo better enjoy those big booty IG broads because that's the only happiness he'll have in Charlotte.
i think randle would play different in charlotte. knowing it isnt his team and in a different system. he isnt a bad player and i think ppl are actually beginning to underrate him lol

the problem is he thinks da knicks are his team and i dont see dat mentality changing. trade him to a team and have him as a second or third option should calm him down

No point if the Knicks and Knicks fans are unwilling to give the assets up to get him.
ofcourese we are
but you no damn well dam that ainge was not doing business in good faith fam.

i seen some of da offers we sent out there that he rejected and like @storyteller mentioned, if those went through, a lot of fans (including myself) woulda been pissed off.

we came with strong offers, he kept fukking with us. it is what it is. if dis was zion or something i get it, but mitchell has his limitations

Who knows what true and what isn’t at this point. Both organizations are leaking shyt to the press to make themselves look better.

The shyt Ainge/Utah did is the same shyt Presti/OKC the ultimate pick hoarders are going to pull. Every trade involving stars is the same shyt.

They would barely guarantee a playoff spot after trading for Mitchell with how deep the conference has gotten. I’ve said it for like 5 years running now, but it’s more important than ever. They should let the youth play, sink or swim, and live with the results.

If they excel then we have a clear path with the developing guys. If they flop then we’re in a lottery with at least two generational talents and very possibly more.

I dunno Mitchell would’ve made them a playoff team at the LEAST

And beside that it would’ve been a lot of excitement and new energy into the franchise that’s been lacking for years since melo

Knicks still have no superstar player to me
I don’t even know if they have a all Star this season

It’s pretty sad.

Why let Mitchell slip away. Should’ve gave what Utah asked

Knicks have to many pieces as is to develop them all AND let the vets play with dignity and try to win and make something of the season

Now just seems like no point.

Knicks ain’t even competing with any of the above teams. :snoop:

Which one of the above teams would you take the knicks over in a playoff series with Mitchell, Brunson and a gutted roster with no picks to bolster the roster?

I remember the talking heads of the sports media machine making jokes like "Knicks acting like Mitchell is their savior and he barely makes them a playoff team!"

Now, a lot of the same talking heads want to spin this as an L.

shyt is weird but unsurprising.

With Mitchell the Knicks are up there with the Bulls, Heat, Raptors, Hawks, and Cavs ironically enough. I felt so assured of Mitchell coming here that I didn't really notice how great the east got. Even teams like the Pistons and Magic got way better. This East is so good now I think that Knicks team from 2 years ago would struggle to win 50% of their games this year.

All of those teams pictured got 3-4 dudes that can HOOP on their squad. The east is basically what the western conference looked like at its peak in the last 2 decades.

We're gonna need everything to break right in order to make the play-in.

You see...

I am speechless at this.

With Mitch, we were right there with the Heat?? And the Bulls??

I wanted to believe that but nikkas were really saying him and Brunson being 6'1 and not stellar on defense with no RJ would be food to playoff teams.

This whole Mitchell shyt was going to be looked at as an L no matter what happened unless it looked like WE fleeced Ainge.

I'm not losing sleep over this shyt.

If a dude isn't making us title contenders, you don't destroy your flexibility.

I really wanted Mitch. But not at such a sacrifice.

I think the Cavs made a smart move even though they have hampered their future if it doesn't work out. The way we are constructed, that sacrifice would not have helped us the same way.

Let's call shyt out for what it is...

All this happy go lucky shyt has nothing to do with Leon Rose's decision and/or what Ainge was trying to do.

Stop acting like the loudest voices in any knicks fan related conversation isn't one of doom and gloom.

The stephen A Smith rants and Spike Lee sad faces are what drive the media. Those are the loudest voices.

happy go lucky has NOTHING to do with the Melo trade, the Frank Ntilikina draft, the Knox dissappointment, the Fizdale hire, etc.

Stop that bullshyt

🤨

Look at all them dumbass bing bong videos and get back to me bruh.

This dude upping old delusional tweets from Knicks fans really proving how delusional they've always been about any young player that had ever played on the team
Don't trade Kevin Knox for Jimmy Butler, it's too much! :laff:

I'm super high on D Mitch fwiw, so i wasn't saying any of those things about him not working here. I get not blowing the whole war chest on one player but I feel like Donovan is that dude. I think he has a deep enough bag to average 30 a game in the right situation. I feel like you get Mitchell then find a way to make things work; if we can't trade for another star we use D Mitch to attract another star. It's apparent we can't stretch our assets enough to trade for two stars though, so we may not have a choice but to build through the draft for a while, and hope RJ becomes a star during the process.
