Knicks need to engage the Lakers to trade Fournier/Randle for Russ. Maybe you can get one of their firsts down the road, but it'd be worth it solely to have Randle off the team.

My problem for your problem. Randle fits waaaaaaaay better as a sixth man(go watch him on the Pelicans), plus Fournier can shoot and you can throw Reddish in as well. Russ being on the Lakers next year is a complete non starter. They can talk about it working but he just doesn't fit.Why would the Lakers make such a shytty trade?

Quite the opposite actually. Why would the Knicks.Wait........he only has 1 year left right?
I wouldn't be opposed to that. Lakers need picks and they could at least use Fourny as a spot up shooter. The lack of D could be covered by Pat Bev. This could actually work.

Saw someone turn it into a three team deal. The hornets want out of Hayward, lakers want off russ, Knicks want off Randle. So they suggested Randle to Charlotte (replace miles bridges); Hayward to the lakers; russ to the Knicks (waive russ right away).
The lakers had some rumors they’d throw in a pick so that could be a sweetener too.
That’s a dream scenario…but kinda has a shot.

I get that Charlotte got fukked over by the whole Miles Bridges situation, but if their pivot is to trade for Julius Randle then LaMelo better enjoy those big booty IG broads because that's the only happiness he'll have in Charlotte.

The only problem with that is low & behold Thibs. He would most definitely defer to Fournier over Cam because.....he's a vet lol. We need to move all of our current vets (accept D-Rose if possible) off the team so he has no choice but to play the youth.
