Thread. Somebody lying. This one says the Knicks had a trade on the table that the Jazz would have accepted that the Knicks would have been clear winners. Than they rescinded and started taking more shyt off the table and were trying to steal Mitchell for free. I don’t believe this either.

Bruh for real fukk this

All this happy go lucky, happy to be here shyt is what fills up the Garden and why this team won't ever be shyt.

They've done absolutely nothing to deserve this kind of loyalty and support.

Trash organization with a we'll get em next time ass fanbase.

I grinded my myplayer for 4 months, got it in the mud, underdog story ass nikkas.

Trash and I don't even fukk with Mitchell like that.
Let's call shyt out for what it is...

All this happy go lucky shyt has nothing to do with Leon Rose's decision and/or what Ainge was trying to do.

Stop acting like the loudest voices in any knicks fan related conversation isn't one of doom and gloom.

The stephen A Smith rants and Spike Lee sad faces are what drive the media. Those are the loudest voices.

happy go lucky has NOTHING to do with the Melo trade, the Frank Ntilikina draft, the Knox dissappointment, the Fizdale hire, etc.

Stop that bullshyt

My read is we negotiated in good faith, gave fair offers that nobody was willing to beat despite it not being what the Jazz wanted. Ainge dragged it out as far as he could in hopes of drawing in another team desperate enough to meet his demands and the Cavs did. I think the Knicks got annoyed these last two weeks because this was a very unserious process and I do believe they started to apply pressure cause fukk Ainge. I’m ok with all this. Everyone acting like this was a weeks worth negotiations is killing me. This shyt been going on for months.

nikkas kill me with the "it's cool to be emo and cut our thigh every friday night knicks" shyt.

fukk that. fukk Stephen A and low key, fukk CP from Knick Fan Tv right now...I was surprised at his take.

It's like are y'all mad in a way like the knicks just made a dumb move or mad like the knicks tried, got an open shot and missed when it comes to this Mitchell shyt?

Weren't we all convinced that Ainge qas trying to be on some Wake Up Now scam shyt with the Knicks on Mitchell? Weren't we sure that even with having the best offer, Ainge might just be on some fukk the knicms shut anyway?

It is what it is.

Like aside from fans like @ISO, we all sat here and debated what was too much and where each of our individual lines were for Donny. If we would when gotten him for all the picks 23-27, i would have been uncomfortable but I would have made peace with it. But 25-29 is insane for us and frankly it’s crazy for the Cavs too. They’re not contenders and may never be. I’m seeing Cavs fans say now all they need is a 3 and D wing and they’re set and I bust out laughing like that’s not what every team is looking for. I guess they’re hope is to get that in the 24 draft cause that’s their next and last draft pick they control for the rest of this decade.

Everyone falling over themselves is annoying.

That Tony Jones dude has been carrying water for Ainge throughout the negotiations. I think he has sources but they’re obviously pushing information out with an agenda.

Everyone rightfully can be frustrated that Mitchell isn’t a knick. But there are a few narratives that I just think are either exaggerated or pure BS:

1. That the FO didn’t try hard enough. I’m looking at some of the leaked offers and I KNOW half the fanbase would be just as mad if Ainge accepted those offers as they are when the deal didn’t go through.

2. That the off-season is a failure now. I’ve said from jump that this off-season has two main goals, find the starting PG and move Randle. One of those got done, if Randle gets moved then this is an okay off-season. It’s progress but slow and steady style.

3. Any implication that the Knicks missed their one chance. Stars demand trades once or twice a season and the Knicks have the assets that kept Danny Ainge calling back. If another star is available; the Knicks will have a chance to make an offer.

It’s okay to be frustrated but it’s always gotta be extra when it’s New York. Just dump Randle and give the keys to the kids. If it flips we get a lottery pick in the best draft class for a while. If it works out, we have more leverage next time a star is available…also our protected picks gain value as restrictions loosen up.
