Rj is never goin to be the offensive player spider is.. But RJ is a better 2 way player and always will be... I wonder how thibs feels...obviously they have confidence Grime can fill that rrole if RJ leaves...

1 less lefty in the back court as well..

Yall have a tough kall to make.. If theywant RJ.. No way they should be gettin Obi or IQ, gove em the picks, fournier and be done with it

Honestly, I just hope this is false hype and the Knicks laugh at any offer from Ainge....but if this trade absolutely has to be made for pride, ego, politics and ratings and at least 1 rookie putting up min has to be involved, he's my first choice then IQ because the team already has too many guards and RJs due for a salary extension. This also puts my ability to be a fan of the organization on a thin line because Randle is still here so it's not fixing anything.

My guess is the Fournier trade is the baseline and their haggling about the amount of unprotecteds. Jazz want 4, the Knicks offering 2. I can see them settling at 3 for a package looking like:

Fournier, Obi, McBride, 24 unprotected, 26 unprotected, 28 unprotected, and probably the heavily protected Detroit and Washington picks.
Knicks keeping the Bucks and the Mavs picks is a win because they are likeliest to convey in those seasons albeit most likely in the 20s. At least we’ll know what they are when trying to trade them for the next star. If we can somehow get top 5 protections on the 28 pick that’s even more of a W.

Which would leave us with 23 Mavs, our 23 pick, 25 bucks, 25 swap, 27 swap, 29 swap and the 2030 pick to trade next summer for something else. Not the most ideal but is not nothing.

Mitchell’s offense alone outweighs all of Barrett’s impact on both ends.

Barrett is not a good defender just because he gets matched up with certain guys and looks the part doesn’t mean it translates to good defense.
