I didn’t bring them up of course they’re better they have Steph.

The whole small backcourts can’t win thing is gross oversimplification and not true historically. Will Brunson and Mitchell win a title? No, I don’t think so but the right pair in an undersized backcourt possibly could.

I believe we’ll have 48 minutes of rim protection on most nights.

I believe it can work if by work you mean bring us back to respectability and give us some consistency for the next half decade.
We know what the right pair takes. Our entire point is that if we give up everything for Mitchell we won’t have anything left to make this work in a real way. Like someone said, the margin of error is way higher.
the point is, there is literally 0 evidence to back this up. you're making it up from scratch lmao
it sounds desperate. he coulda left
We don’t have evidence of any of these stars becoming available in the short future. nikkas were making fun of us last summer for sayin Mitchell could be a possibility. nikkas thought @storyteller was a dumb Knicks fan for bringing up Dejounte Murray back in January. There’s no evidence that SGA could possibly be available anytime soon either except the FACT that these stars change teams a fukking lot. Losing all our shyt for the first one we have a shot at, when it doesn’t even really help us, when there will definitely be others isn’t smart and sound. The only nikka not available is Giannis. The Mavs have 2 more dumb off seasons before Luka rumors become real as fukk.

I heard we are trading everyone like we did for Melo for Donovan Mitchell what's the word? :lupe:

Obi , Mitchell , Barrett Sims and Quickley for Donovan I feel like I called a trade like this just a week ago.

Aren't Brunson and Mitchell basically the same player?
no, donovan takes way more off the dribble 3 pointers and plays above the rim on his drives while brunson is way more crafty and lives in the midrange with a variety of floaters and post moves.
they're similar in the fact they play a lot bigger than their height would suggest (on offense at least)
they stress defenses in different ways

As long as we keep Grimes, I don’t care about any of them other nikkas

Grimes was the only name that Shams dropped in his report about the trade discussions. I feel like Grimes/IQ are the most likely to be treated as expendable since Mitchell/Brunson will eat up a lot of the guard minutes.

I feel like Grimes and Duece would be the better offer because IQ can also play the 2. Hunt, Keels can cover the 3 for the RJ fans.

You can now play IQ at the 1 off the bench or move him to 2 and Mitchell at 1.

I really don’t know how you justify letting go of a guard with a specific skill set and size like that in this NBA :francis:

Give them nikkas one or two of our other bums. No way you keep IQ over Grimes if you have a choice.

Do you think Grimes is better than IQ?

I think given the minutes and opportunity Grimes is a bigger offensive talent. IQ is good but hes a tweener who doesn’t really have a main role he does well whereas you know what you’re getting from a guy like Grimes in good outside shooting and scoring. He’s balling in the limited minutes last year and summer league
