The Nets have me thinking fukk trading for Donovan Mitchell. You got to have depth and be a good team to win in the playoffs.
Exactly why the team needs to figure out what they have in the youth before they try and get a star. But they love putting the cart before the horse

yep, i wouldn't trade for Donovan.

the Lakers & Nets were the favorites to win the ship before the season and look what happened. Lakers didn't make the playoffs and Nets got swept. Hopefully, this is the end of the "super team" era. Whether you have 1-2-3 superstars on your team, it's still 5 on 5.

Everyone in the NBA can play. Aside from a player's work ethic, it's also up to management to scout and develop talent.

Side note, that boy Tatum can ball!

i banged the drum pretty hard for this guy. Some of y’all were saying no cause he wasn’t projected to have much of an offensive game. :snoop:

me too if I can remember. I wasn’t mad about the Knox pick at the time but something told me Bridges would be a better fit for his defense if anything :manny:

now he’s scoring 30+ in playoff games :mjcry:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Knicks passed up on this guy to draft Kevin Knox. :sadcam:

I was a big fan as well. Both his pedigree (two chips with Villanova) and stats were gonzo.

It’s what it is at this point.

The Knicks have a contingent of good players I rather talk about.

He was a sure-thing, high floor and decent ceiling. He wouldn't do group workouts, so it came down to Miles Bridges and Knox. Knox won the one-on-one, and David Fizdale pushed for him.

Kevin Knox set face Mikal Bridges while eying free-throw fix

Knox beat out both Bridges — Mikal and Miles — in the final days leading into the draft, winning the nod off his spectacular group workout where he outplayed Miles Bridges. The Knicks were disappointed Mikal Bridges, who won two NCAA titles, wasn’t willing to showcase himself in a group workout and instead worked out solo for them.

As has been reported, Knicks coach David Fizdale pushed hard late for Knox because of the challenge of developing his greater upside. Bridges, 22, was one of the oldest players in the draft while Knox was second-youngest.
