our salary range? We're not signing anyone into cap space breh. If we want him, we're gonna trade for him.knicks arent gettin brunson. He's playin his way out of our salary range.

Man I don’t think Cuban does it.our salary range? We're not signing anyone into cap space breh. If we want him, we're gonna trade for him.
So you think Cuban's gonna lose Brunson for nothing?Man I don’t think Cuban does it.![]()
I think he is going to pay him what he needs to to keep him, and move Timmy, Bertans, or Dimwiddie. On the low all they got to do is remove the 1-10 protection on the pick they owe the knicks and they can use a future draft pick to move one of those contracts for an expiring and he’ll be good.So you think Cuban's gonna lose Brunson for nothing?
we aint makin no trades bruhour salary range? We're not signing anyone into cap space breh. If we want him, we're gonna trade for him.
If that's the case we're gonna see firings next season. Playing it safe shot them in the foot this year. If they make the same mistake twice and FAIL, it's a wrap for somebody...possibly Rosewe aint makin no trades bruh
da front office is scared of makin a bad one.
we only make super safe lopsided transactions

I meant a next year expiring. I think Cuban would pay the tax for a year…. It’s the repeater tax that would have him shookIf that's the case we're gonna see firings next season. The problem with what you're saying is in order to completely dump salary, Dallas would have to move those guys directly into another team's cap space...which there are maybe 2 teams who can do that. If they cannot do that, they CAN keep him...but Cuban is gonna have to be paying Luxury Tax out the a$$hole for a team that might not make it out of the second round. He's better off trading Brunson and finding relief that way.
The 2021/22 NBA season will have the highest luxury tax bill in the league’s history, and it isn’t even close. Here’s a quick breakdown of how the luxury tax operates.
Teams must pay an extra:
Repeater tax:
- $1.50 per $1 above the tax line, up to $5 million (incremental max: $7.5 million)
- $1.75 from $5-10 million (incremental max: $8.75 million)
- $2.50 from $10-15 million (incremental max: $12.5 million)
- $3.25 from $15-20 million (incremental max: $16.25 million)
- $3.75 from $20-25 million (incremental max: $18.75 million)
- For every additional $5 million over the tax threshold is to be added 50 cents per dollar
