If Donovan can’t win with the jazz who have a better roster than us. What makes him or knicks fans think he can win with us? Especially if we gut our roster for him.

He’s a number 2 at best. I don’t mind trading for him, but we can’t gut our roster for him.

I don't think the Jazz roster is better than the Knicks. They just have a better coach and culture.

Gobert is a more seasoned, disciplined version of Mitch.

Bog is Fournier.

Clarkson is IQ.

Conley is Rose.

In terms of a #2 they don't have anybody as good as RJ.

And the Knicks have more depth cause I didn't even mention Burks or the young guys (Obi, Deuce, Grimes, Sims, Cam).

I swear to god every single fukking time it comes to putting up for a star we do this shyt. Donovan is arguably the second best shooting guard in the league who is used in a terrible backcourt because of their size.

Now, i agree you don’t gut the roster, but Obi, IQ, Fournier and 4-5 picks/swaps is a very fair deal that I’m doing 10/10 times. Mitchell and RJ as a backcourt is much better for Mitchell’s production imo than him and Conley.

facts. in order to be a real title contender you need a loaded roster around mitchell. As good as he is he aint gonna be in the mvp talks in terms of dominance.
they maxed out that roster on that team the last few years and been nothing more than second round fodder. he's good but we need more

The Jazz'll look to move Gobert for someone that keeps Mitchell happy before they entertain whatever we could offer. There might be deals out there for Mitchell, but they probably start with a very high draft pick and/or a rising star.
