Props to Pascal showing some heart and landed some good flushed shots, even won a few rounds I think his awkwardness and hand speed gave Kovalev trouble in spots,But the overrall punching power slowly started to get to pascal, Krusher had Jean in big time trouble in the corner and the ref was about to jump in until Kovalev slipped got up while pascal wobbled to the corner,Kovalev landed some mean shots ref stopped it..Being real Pascal would eventually get finished Have no problem with the stoppage,would like to see a rematch down the line but not soon, we need to get that Kovalev/Stevenson fight going..

As they should...its amazing to read the feedback of this fight on other sites..that pascal should have been able to continue...have we learned nothing from back in late 2013 where we almost saw mike Perez kill mago abdusalamov? pascal had the glassy vacant look for the majority of the fight getting hit by kovalev...let's hope pascal checks out ok

Forreal man. It was like he wasn't even making eye contact since that initial knockdown. He could not see straight. He was getting by on well-timed haymakers throughout, of course.

Pretty solid card. Chilemba still boxing nikkas ears off even though his opponent was on that Molina shyt. He still kicked his ass. Pops should have kept his promise and stopped it.

Cunningham got robbed again. Fight was competitive and got closer at the end, but Steve won at least 7 rds to 5, or 8 rds to 4. Big time robbery. Hell, Rossy deserved a win too, but I guess they keeping Glazkov undefeated for a reason. It's fukked up though.

Kovalev/Pascal is FOTY to me so far. Great fight.

To be fair GGG does seem to have a personality. They also said Kovalevs an a$$hole.

in the grand scheme of things that has its effect. me personally I dont care. if the dude is a racist, then thats what he is. I still like him as a fighter though. for some reason, no matter how likable GGG is, I just cant get behind him. seems too protected from high profile matches. like Kovalev became a true star after BHop, GGG needed the same kind of fight. they really shouldve done whatever they could to get him in the ring with Sergio. Cotto being the astute businessman he is beat them to it.

Idk breh, Kovalev backed off after those two shots. Pascal had a little room for some lateral movement. He was in far deeper shyt earlier in the fight and survived, even landed several heavy shots.

most likely yea he wouldve eventually gotten finished, but I felt like he still had a decent chance to land something big.

Its exactly what pascal said the ref was waiting for the next moment he was in trouble to stop the fight. (presumably cause of the punishment he was taking earlier) But a former champion deserves the right to weather the storm unless hes getting Frank Bruno'ed or something.
