So they showed the trailer before the James Brown biopic I went and watched. I stay in half hipster/half yuppie ass Fairfax, Va and maaaaaaan the white folks in the theater were lookin extra tight during the entire preview. I was scoping and had that sly Billy D. grin in full of effect during it all. I'm going to see this just to see white folks look uncomfortable brehs. We might have a winner here

If you watch the trailers then obviously her being mixed plays a part in the story. And obviously the white love interest is there to stir up the cliché conflict of "Am I right in what I'm fighting for" that all these movies have.

Anyway, want a black comedy about race but don't want it to deal with the complexities of race, brehs.

i was highly interested in this after seeing the first trailer, but after seeing the second trailer and hearing more about it including the white love interest, i wont be seeing this.....it's like it's going for a spike lee type feel, but doesnt want to piss of white people even though the movie is supposed to be shockingly honest about race....i get the vibe from it that it'll show that even though we have reason to think/feel the way we do about whites when it comes to certain shyt, that somehow the blame for those thoughts/feelings will be placed back on us, blacks...and we'd (blacks) be better off as a people if we stop seeing race...they (whites) don't have to, but we do....so naw, i'm good....
