How do you figure that? memphis gave the world champs trouble and didn't have a healthy Conley... went 7 with OKC a couple years back, have the big men to be able to go toe-to-toe with Duncan/Aldridge offensively while stopping them defensively..

the clippers had the most efficient offense in the league last year, so they can keep up when other teams start going nuts.

their stars are all young and getting better, meanwhile ZBO is just getting OLDER. hes about to turn 34 this month.

DJ was a project draft pick who already has exceeded everyone's expectations. He still has 6-7 years left to be a major player in this league. LAC is a multimillion dollar corporation. Spending 80K to develop someone who could be a centerpiece for your franchise for most of the next decade is a worthwhile investment IMO.

Plus the Clips do things differently. There's a family like environment in that organization
