and this situation is so twisted, that he's looking out for them by NOT hosting their music

I really don't think this is the best thing for De La in the long run. they should want people to have access to their music. sucks that they're not getting paid right, but if more people are able to get into their music, maybe they'll also buy/stream their new stuff (that they do get paid right for)

It sounds like their older work still has sample clearance issues. They aren't trying to have Tommy Boy put out their old music at 90% (TB) 10% (De La) earnings and still have to worry about being sued for never getting samples cleared.

It sounds like Tommy Boy still haven’t actually cleared all or even most of the samples. They’re making up some phantom $2 million debt from who knows where and they’re giving them this bullshyt deal where the 10% De La DOES get will all go to recouping that 2mil before they can even start making any money on the back end. I hope the right revert back to De La in 35 years, it’s not that far away.

and he said he handed it to Monica Lynch on friday and they literaly had a contract by the following monday

Wasn't De La managed by Rhythm Method Enterprises during that time? Ron Skoler and Ed Chalpin managed PE for a time as well.
