Prince Paul thier producer took thier demo tape to Daddy O of stetsasonic who was signed to Tommy Boy

and he said he handed it to Monica Lynch on friday and they literaly had a contract by the following monday

he explains it in this interview....at the 3:30 mark

I feel bad for De La, but too many wrong moves were made in the beginning. I remember reading years ago about the making of 3ft High and the Turtles lawsuit against them. They said if they tried to make that album again, it would be about 4 million dollars. Thats insane..
