i dont have the anonymous mr nobody in that folder because I never got around to properly tagging the mp3s.. I know I'm over a year behind.. just haven't had the interest to tag my files anymore.. ... nothing is on my server or cloud without being properly tagged...

I heard a couple of years ago that the reason their shyt wasn't on Amazon and other streaming sites is because they would have to re-clear all their samples off the first 3-4 albums all over again. Goat albums but they were getting sued like crazy back in the day cause they used a ton of samples. Layers and layers of samples. They're one of the few goat artists/groups that don't eat off their older albums. That shyt has to hurt

Wouldn't mind Jay, Nas, Questlove who have all been vocal in their displeasure with Tommy Boy help buy them out of their current situation. Doubt they are broke, but doubt they have the type of money to drop 2 million to be cleared with Tommy Boy.

that 2 million is what Tom says they owe as a debt ... that's not buying the catalog. that's clearing an old debt so that can profits dimes instead of pennies.. to our right buy it would be another 10 or so,,, plus more with all those sample clearances... thing about how long to took the wonder years to get on dvd .. and when it was realized at first they changed the theme... 1960s Batman was locked up for 20 years before finally getting released recently.

Hov claims he’s a billionaire so $2M should be light for him. With his network he wouldn’t even have to put it all up himself.

Its a slippery slope.

You give $2 million to one fukked over group then you have every other fukked over artist with their hands out. That ain’t Hov’s responsibility, he’s already supporting them and getting the ball rolling on the boycott, which led to Tommy Boy now trying to renegotiate better terms.

Hov’s way of doing business is to make sure that he deals HE is involved with are favorable to the artists. J Cole is probably the best example of this. Dude OWNS his masters only 5 albums in.

Here's a snippet of an interview Pos & Mase did on Hofstra University right before 3 Feet High & Rising dropped

Of note is Pos explaining how Tommy Boy offered up $500 for anyone who could identify the sample on Plug Tunin' along with the label and vocalist. In light of this recent news one has to wonder if this was how Tommy Boy actually found out where the sample came from

edit:
damn wrong link above here is the De La interivew
