Actor close to 50 and Sinestro isn't young either. 2 of the main ones in lore are entering washed territory already
Their power is CGI objects and CGI flying. Ain’t none of these dudes washed.

I haven't watched "Paradise", but I have seen Sterling K. Brown in other things; he's a great actor. However, he's in his late 40s, which, in my opinion, is too old to play John Stewart.

I don't even care about Superman like that but i want that Gunn movie to do great because by extension i need this revamped DCU to succeed so that the John Stewart character can flourish cinematically for years to come.

I think the show will do it's part by being fantastic and putting the battery on the character's back. But studios will need to see Gunn's big budget movies do well in order to have confidence in giving us a big buget Lantern film.

I'm approaching 40 and been awaiting justice for John Stewart since the JLU toon 22 years ago. I ain't tryna wait another 25 years. Can't have this botched like what happened to T'Challa.

What about "Icon"?

Icon (DC/Milestone) or Blue Marvel (Marvel) are the comic characters Sterling was born to play. And nothing against Edi Gathegi but Sterling has more the presence, swagger, and look (pause) of what a cinematic Mr. Terrific should be. Tho hopefully Edi kills the role.

Terrific/Mike is severely underutilized and underrated as a character btw. He has all the cinematic attributes: super genius, tech billionaire, leader of the JSA, elite martial artist, handsome gang, loves black women, occassional pawgs, etc., but they shackle him with dumb shyt, like the moniker of being the "3rd smartest person in the world" instead of letting it be open/ambiguous...
or they'll have him knock down DC's 2nd baddest female they market after Wonder Woman (Power Girl) but then the next editorial team will sabotage it and bush Mike for a decade.
Or they'll introduce him into CW as some zesty goofy looking twin brother or something.

I digress; point is maybe his costume and specifically that giant T on his face don't translate well to live action (we'll see) but the character itself is A1.

I initially had skepticism about Mr. T but it grew on me. I love the costume as well as the actor especially from his short role in first class as Darwin.

His stature and age fits perfect in my eye.

Sterling if cast in comic book films with his voice has to be someone powerful. Blue Marvel or Icon I agree with.
