That's why a live action GL can never truly work unless they have a massive budget.Obviously "grounded" earth-based detective work is just code word for budget friendly
The elephant in the room about a live-action GL production has always been budget. Everything either has to be CGI or massive set pieces with a ton of costume work for every alien species.
How do you mitigate that? Keep them fukkers on earth and talkin to humans
