DC's Titans Thread (First Episode Out)

Yeah, the complaining about Starfire is nothing but thinly veiled .

They certainly wouldn't be complaining if she was white. Her not being orange in the live-action version makes sense, obviously she has a human identity (or at least took over somebody's identity) which wouldn't work if she looked obviously alien. The story literally doesn't work if she's orange skinned.

Couple people in here don't know what they are talking about. This isn't based on Teen Titans at all. There is a comic called Titans which is adult oriented. Teen Titans is for younger fans. If you are expecting to see Teen Titans this ain't it

They are telling a story, we don't have a clue yet why he is acting like he is they haven't explained it yet. But don't act like Robins ain't been about violence. Maybe not Grayson but certain Damien and Todd were no fukks.. and Grayson has fukked some people up in his day as Nightwing

Sounds like nitpicking just because yet you'll stan other shows with differences in characters/comics

I'm 22 minutes into the premiere of "Titans" & I'm really enjoying it so far. Is dikk Grayson a cop in the comics? Unless I forgot, he's never been portrayed as a cop in any of the previous DC films & TV shows I've seen. This first 22 minutes of the premiere is already doing a WAY BETTER job of giving us Raven's backstory before joining the Teen Titans than the first 2.5 seasons of the 2000's animated series I've watched so far.

Dude! I saw them at that kitchen table and was ;like "Holy fukk! They are actually doing The Nuclear Family!"...and they made them come across just as creepily wholesome as they need to be which was awesome. My onl;y gripe is that Dog wasn't included.

I was a fan of how close to the source material the Hawk & Dove costumes were but the fact that they didn't seem to have their super-powers kinda bummed me out. Hank could still be a brash self-loathing douchebag meathead with performance anxiety with the powers bestowed upon him by the Lord of Chaos...it is how he has been in the comics for decades. And the same goes for Dove. The bullet proof cape was nice though.

And we got a couple lowkey Donna Troy sighting in the pic of dikk, Dawn and Hank plus her name showed up in dikk's phone's contacts list.
