You've made the classic mistake of speaking for everyone when you really mean yourself. Just cause you don't care doesn't mean others don't
I speak as a casual viewer of comic book movies and majority of people that will see this are casuals...
I honestly feel they lucked out with Joker. I remember people not feeling it when it was in production. The internet/geeks were all saying it would never be better than Heath's Joker and this and that... Plus the fact that it's a standalone and not connected to the DCEU lets you know that they weren't anticipating this much success.

Was your comment a shot cause it seems like it as of saying there is no way a character can join the JL after being a villain . Marvel has done similar stuff already Quick silver and scarlet witch were both originally villains and scarlet witch became a villain again and killed people and still became an avenger
Man her name is on the title of the movie regardless. I don't understand nitpicking the order of the title before or after her name. I have no idea whether this will hit or be a flop....but neither of those things are predicated on the title order.
People know the character, they know the actress, and both are prominently featured in the trailer and promos.

JOKER changed the game, but its hard for casuals to *fully* admit that. "Lucked out" means "OH shyt, guess those PG 13 films without substance aint gonna work no more".
