if that's really the kids dad, the momma prolly aint shyt either. Karon never really had a chance . Two most impactful forces in a child's life - parents & their environment.

Straight up bamma shyt right there. This is the father that was in this kids life. Pops was proud his son was out in the streets.:francis:

Yes, and yes. When I asked myself how he could go missing for two days two years ago, how was he running the streets at 4am and linked to a stolen car, I already knew the answer. The parents/lack of parents. There's no other explanation. With that said, raising them "right" won't guarantee they won't enter a life of crime, but the odds go down significantly.

Only a matter of time this would happen. These kids here are wilding and folks are tired.
I live in DC and its hard to sympathize with these car jackers because there is number of resources available for these kids and they still choose to jack cars and shoot people. It's annoying to always be looking over your shoulder when in the city, getting gas, etc.

Its unfortunate but there is a huge underclass in DC that is hasn't experienced the city's newfound prosperity. Add broken households and communities plus social media, and these kids don't have a chance.

This. My mom and I kept saying for months, one of these street kids will eventually get shot. These kids were too violent and reckless for one not to come across someone completely fed up with the bs. Street life usually ends in one or two ways, prison or death. With that said, could it have been handled differently, of course. But one cannot predict how someone will react to their criminal activity, so it's best not to engage in it.

Just seen the video of the father. This thread should serve as a example to how out of touch most of these posters are with inner city kids.. So they lean heavy on "stats" because thats the only way they can relate to the problem. Anyone who is really on the ground around this shyt know that the parents are fcking these kids up and they have MONEY. Sure poverty is a issue, but it definitely isn't the only one. Thats why a lot of blacl intellectuals focus on poverty because thats a issue where they don't have to deal directly with the people thats affected by it.. Through cock sucking politicians.. But making a man take care of his son, knowing he got the "resources" to do it. Nah, thats dirty work. You have to get in the trenches to do that shyt, and a lot of black intellectuals just don't want that job. So they stick to poverty pimping..

What's really scary about all of this and how young criminal differ from the past is, you can't tell the good kids from the bad ones. They all dress and look pretty similar. In the 90s you could all most point out the criminals and crooks.

It's going to be scary for young black boys who are trying to do right.

You way off.. Back then you'd get killed trying to record someone committing a crime.. Seems like now they record themselves and post themselves committing crimes.

:comeon: No you not perpetrating this lie with a Nino Brown avatar. Anyone who grew up in the 90's knows that the good kids and criminals were all wearing the same shyt because there was a fashion code. There wasn't a "bad boy" fashion and a "good guy" fashion. The more you post, the more I think you're not really Black.

@saturn7

@4:30 Ant Glizzy tells the father that the kid was outside because the father couldn't give his child money because he was broke so he went outside and tried to steal it.

What the hell does a 13 year old need money for besides school lunch?
This excuse ain't gonna fly.
The 13 year old was out in the streets at night doing hoodrat shyt with his friends, not because he was poor but because he wanted to be out there.

Above the fray.
Have details come out about why the teen just didn't run off into the car when the man went outside?

Don't know about thieves in the current era, but before thieves would operate under the cover of night. When flood lights turned on, or when alarms would go off and draw attention to the scene, they would run off.

I don't think the teen was shot in the back, so trying to figure out how the confrontation went.
The thieves had to have seen and heard the man run out of his house.

You have posters here who think we're advocating the shooting of thieves.. They clearly don't know that some thieves will not run but confront you.

What happens is that some here are in denial about public safety realities. So when a thread comes up, regardless of the unique details of the story , they will stick to their script of the same comments rather than speak about what happened.
Afraid to think/speak for themselves, I guess.

13 year olds aren't and blind they want things like videos games, cloths, exploring new hobbies typically costs money, money for transportation.
my parents supported us but as best they could but when i was 13 years old I was ordering free floppy disks from ISP's like a dozen times a day in different names. I would then sell then for 25-50% off to kids at school but mostly people at the library where it was being sold for $1. kids want stuff too.

To those that's trying to blame the homeowner, I'd have done the same thing. It don't matter what color the kid is, I'm busting first and performing CPR afterwards.

I live in a nice area and people are constantly posting on Nextdoor app about their cars being broke into and car doors and home doors being pulled. A lot these kids from this area come from well off homes and go out of their way to do shyt for the thrill.

Ain't nothing more adrenaline pumping than running from gunshots. I hope it was worth it.
