Sounds exactly like a Daz beat. Now had dre been credited for that I’d say Daz has a case. But none of Daz’s beats sound like the chronic or doggystyle

Not as lawyered. And stick more to Daz’s signature type of beats.

Not saying dre did all this without help from Daz. But Daz 100% didn’t produce 100% of doggystyle Cmon
Only beats that sound like Dre's signature sound on Doggystyle is G funk intro, The Shiznit, Whats my Name, Gz and Hustlas. Everything else was Daz/ Warren G

Dre adds his touches to make the beats stand out more but I think Daz came up with the actual beats.

This nikka is a unadulterated fukking liar,PERIOD! Daz ain’t produced no fukking DoggyStyle. That album has too much live instrumentation on it for daz to have produced shyt like that! It even sounds like a Dre produced album, inside and out at that time! Just listen to What’s my name and then go listen to U can’t see me on All Eyez, shyt Damn near sound the same and we know who produced U can’t see me! Daz didn’t have skillz like that and everybody knows it! nikka Suge just a bitter, missing out on life,In last place azz nikka and can’t do nothing about it except to hate on nikkaz from behind bars, and he really hates Dre because Dre gave up his stake in DeathRow and succeeded 20 fold after leaving all that shyt! nikka Suge is just totally and utterly pathetic! :comeon:

People bring Dre beats. He then takes them apart and puts them back together again according to his vision.

In the process he adds in loads of bells and whistles, arranges the sound stage perfect and mixes it so the drums knock and the snares are crisp.

In a nutshell - he makes it cinematic.

That is what Dre does. Listen to anyone who has collabed with him and their output without him. There is a stark difference. A special something is missin which you hear, nevertheless, whenever Dre drops his next hit. He is a producer in the truest sense or, to be more accurate, a preternaturally skilled engineer who produces as well as his prime talent is the mix and his creative vision that applies layers and layers of polish.

Quik is the same but has a few more strings to his bow and thus tends to work alone. He also goes ham with the layers where Dre is more about sparseness these days.

And name an a successful artist death row launched after Dre left.

Aftermath went on to produce multiple diamond artists

If Suge wasn't fixed on revenge, I believe that Crooked I could have gotten a legit push.

He lived and breathed the West Coast sound.

Suge should have gotten someone like Dre who is great at scouting for talents and some guys who are good at mixing behind the boards.

Wasn't there a huge thread on here (or was it SOHH? Covo?) where someone said they'd pay a stack if anyone could find footage of Dre making a beat?

There were pages and pages of people coming up empty but you had loads of pics like this:

As well as numerous rappers saying Dre made em do 400 takes till it sounded perfect:

Thats what producing is. Its not beat making. There is a difference.

Crooked I is a pure lyricist so I don’t know. He had the all the talent.

If they would have focused on quik carrying the tourch behind the boards then maybe he they would have been able to push a second generation of stars. Quik coulda became a “super producer” and a star solo act under the right circumstances there (I know he wasn’t signed to Them)

No. Co produced. Lol. U can't take beats from a nikka. Spruce shyt up and mix it and then claim to be sole producer. Lol

If all a person brought to the table is beats, that's not a production credit. It's like if I e-mailed someone a beat. They send me a complete song beat, I can't say I produced the song even though I made the beat. My beat was the only contribution to the song. I contributed which means I could negotiate credits or a fee for my contribution. At most, by making the beat, I did the same thing as a session a player: I provided instrumentation.

This is hip hop. That's co production in hip hop. Simple as that. People get production credits for adding simple ass shyt. I for damn sure better get production credit if I supplied the beat and someone changed up a few things. It ain't like the nikka found the beat in the garbage. He produced part of it. Dre produced part of it. Now how it's split is another thing. But the person who gave the beat DEFINITELY deserves credit. In hip hop. The beat maker IS the producer because a producer in hip hop is one man band man type shyt. nikkas can't afford orchestras and all kinda shyt. That's literally what birthed the hip hop producer.
