Yeah, right around the "nikkars" skit. I was in hs at the time and realized whites were laughing a little too hard at the jokes and quotables. It was like Rock's nword vs nikkas joke but Dave was getting a pass. Even Dave realized he fukked by addressing it on his Netflix specials... networks only allowed him to shyt Blacks. Any time Dave tried to roast another group, he got push back. Especially from they who must not be named. That's part of the reason why he ran off on thr plug.I'm keeping it a buck. The "Dave" folks fell in love with died with the 2nd season of the Chappelle Show. Folks need to realize that Dave been on one even around that time. The only difference is that it is all out in the open, but IV dosages. Hell, even "For What It's Worth" dude was hinting what's really good. Deep inside, Dave wants to be a part of the elites. He desires the treatment of Carlin and em, thus riding with dikkheads like Rogan. Dude, been riding with cacs since the Half Baked days.
When, folks are going to wake up and see that the Dave Chappelle they remember is gone? I always tell folks to look at the difference between season 1 vs season 2. The jokes in season 1 felt genuine and a self-conscious variety show. Season 2 felt like a minstrel show where cacs hogged the hell out of the most basic ass jokes:

The idea that he brought him up there to embarras him on some reverse pychology shyt...or that he is in agreement with all of Elon's political views are both off base IMO, but everyone has to draw their own lines.

So the notion that he's not gonna talk to Joe Rogan because a bunch of people he never met call him "right wing" and have decided that anybody who's friendly with him is now cancled, c00n, this that or the other, is absurd.

ehhh ever since dave's resurgence he's been alittle funny. i'm not surprised by this.
He doesn't support Trump or anything, that I know. However I remember listening to him on the rogan podcast last year. I was anticipating it because I thought Dave was going to say some real shyt about the election and Trump; but once he kind of saw that Joe was....sus with his position...he didn't push back and instead said, "I don't know what your political position is and honestly, I don't care, you're a great guy" more or less etc, that's when I knew Dave cared more now about his class and status position than anything else.
Even in his recent specials it screams 'I'm dave CHAPELLE" as he continues to wear a chain with his own name on it. He also likes to name drop from time to time, and remember after one of his major specials, he had that montage at the end with him and all of these famous people....He cares about that type of thing alot it seems; and his association with "elite" names on his "level" from a success/fame sense. Kanye has this alittle too.
So to Dave, and Joe etc they see Elon as a valuable friend to have, a great resource, a status symbol. So they'll remain ignorant to the shyt Elon really is doing (Dave), or agree with it (Joe), or be far behind realizing what much of the internet already understands about the guy.
