These franchises have been around as sports for DECADES, and have been accepted into the mainstream culture. MMA is 20 years old! It's a sport that just got approved by athletic commissions in the last 13 years and was barbaric before that. They are building a sport, and that shiit costs money. What I am saying is, give it time. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither were MMA salaries. The salaries will improve as the sport becomes more mainstream, and as more fighters become household names.
