Listen to you guys squawk. First of all, you don't know shiit because it's a private company and fighters could be getting way more in undisclosed sums. And even if they are not, muhfucckers who train for the Olympics don't get paid shiit, but I don't hear you nerds white knighting for them. So, do you even care about them, or do you just like to biitch and rally against The Man (Dana)?

Finally, you nerds are also, without saying it, comparing their salaries to those of boxers, baseball players, NBA and NFL dudes. These franchises have been around as sports for DECADES, and have been accepted into the mainstream culture. MMA is 20 years old! It's a sport that just got approved by athletic commissions in the last 13 years and was barbaric before that. They are building a sport, and that shiit costs money. What I am saying is, give it time. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither were MMA salaries. The salaries will improve as the sport becomes more mainstream, and as more fighters become household names.

9/10 ppvs they do are not ppv worthy, what happened to Dana of the past that'll put the show on tv if the card is weak, his greed is catching up with him

I can't stand for this fukkery the shyt ppv's

Let's look at the last 8 PPVs and the next upcoming 2, starting from UFC 160 to 169. So, you're telling me 9/10 of these are shytty and not PPV worthy? So which ones are shytty and weak? I'm not saying there haven't been weak PPV events, but as of late, we've had a great string of PPVs and the upcoming next two look really good as well. You're clearly clueless breh.

For the sake of being contrarian, UFC has probably leveled off to where it will be. There is a niche stigma to it. Sure, the sherdoggers of the world will care but most people are streaming the fights and UFC management throws some bush league shyt out because Dana is too close to the fighters. Chael Sonnen is the biggest moneymaker in UFC? Brock Lesnar gets a title shot after one fight? Don King nor Bob Arum isn't that damn slick. It will be those things that de-legitimize UFC in the eyes of many. Watered down cards and there are too many fighters, very few that standout. Chuck Lidell was a larger than life character for a while. Crazy haircut, crazy looking guy, The Iceman, fukking people up, till he got that jaw cracked. Jose Aldo and Anderson Silva, wonderful fighters, can barely understand these mufukkas. Most of these sports are built around marketable stars. LeBron, Kobe, Durant, Rose, etc.. Everywhere. Anderson Silva and Jon Jones are on Nike, I've never seen a commercial. Yet Clay Matthews from the Packers is on a million different commercials. One thing you can't argue against is that the skillsets have improved, but has that really made it a better product? I don't think so.

Call people nerds while you are :cape: for a guy who makes millions and pays his fighters pennies. People like "NovelThug" :heh: are why the fighters will keep getting paid nothing.

I agree that fighter's pay in the UFC could be much higher considering how much Zuffa makes, but I'm sure Nate is making alot more money than what's been reported. I'm sure with the sponsership money, lockeroom bonuses (even all those 50k bonuses he's earned).....he's eating pretty good. If he's making peanuts, then he would be fighting elsewhere instead of the UFC. There's gotta be some kind of stipulations in his contract we don't know about.

I do think fighter's pay will significantly improve over time depending on how huge the UFC gets on a national level. It's hard to compare the nfl, nba, mlb, nhl to the ufc, because its still a new thing. the nfl has been around since the 20's. The nba? since the 40's. mlb? since the 1800's. shyt, boxing as been around for centuries.

this aint even me trying to cape for the ufc/dana because I don't worship them like they all mighty, but I'm just being realistic that its gonna take time to really see where the UFC matches up. Silva, Jones and JDS have nike endorsements. Rampage and Hendricks have reebok endorsements. GSP with under armor? and gatorade. Now your starting to see companies being opened to do business with ufc fighters because of the drastic changes thats occurred

Phil Davis even had a Sprite commercial

Nate's got a good agent. His downside guarantee is miniscule. So, he only has to pay trainer fees and the like out of that. The money he actually makes is much more. His agent structured a similar deal fro King Mo in Bellator who's making something like 10/10
