Clearly they both ruined it with their egos.

Dame Dash got the biggest L but Jay-z, while still successful, does not have a team like he did at Roc-A-Fella. He went back to just being a rapper again, which is fine and working out well. Just that he never rebuild a Roc-a-fella after and Dame still hasn't created another Jay.

He's not even making sense. He was done with rap and didn't want to push artists any more because they weren't cool. Ok but then he had Beanie and Curren$y and continued to try to do music on his own. He just wasn't successful. So...

All Jay Z had is Rihanna,Jeezy and Ross??

What?....nikka.

This nikka said it like Rihanna ain't put millions of dollars into Jay' s account. Jeezy dropped mad heat with his first 2 album. Ross BEEN dropping heat since 06

This nikka said all he had was Rihanna Jeezy and Ross :mjlol:

Put some respeck on Jay name playboy:birdman:

Jay had nothing to do with Rihanna's signing for success :mjlol:

Same with Ross and jeezy

Out here in my damn drawls
Bleek gave him props on the podcast and said what most of us have said from the outside looking in

He seemed like a pitbull for the Roc and he went to bat on the behalf of his artists. You want someone like that on your side. Alot of artists today need someone like him
Dame's problem seemed to be him not being able to play politics

Look at how Bleek straight trolled Dame with the Jacket :dead:

"I didn't never have a Rockafella jacket that said Memphis Bleek :troll:"

Dame: :aicmon:

Dame was right, but breh has zero savvy. Business is built on relationships and he was putting Rocafella on an island. That "them vs. us" only works if everyone on your team wants to be on that island. Jay got on a boat and dipped :skip:. Can't blame him

Dame also gave Lee Daniels money to start his tv/movie empire. Dame has been successful and a visionary without Jay.

I don't think there is any doubt that Dame took Ls but I'm still on his side regarding the collapse of the Roc a fella empire. JayZ essentially chose to align himself with Cacs in order to build the relationships he has now. Dame wanted to continue to do things on their own like they had been doing. It's telling that the dude who positioned himself with the Cacs and distanced himself from the loud angry black partner is the one that blew up

:skip:jay was so invested in kanye that he gave him an uncredited verse :childplease:nikkas ain't even know who that was. outside of jay the only nikkas going plat on roc was the dude Dame was signing, that's a fact. the
I don't know why they didn't credit him, perhaps it was a miss. But dude closed a Timbaland song in 2002, he was in the credits as a performer and on 2.1.

And again Jay didn't sign people, he signed of. He probably didn't even handle the signing of Bleek.

Dames partners in his gallery, motor oil and on are cacs. His latest label was with cacs and girlfriends are cacs :what:.

Cacs are cacs, record industry people are not the only people that are white in this world. And there's really nothing wrong with a whole race, there's fukkboys on all sides.

It's not about that. It's about cultivating the relationships that will provide you with the resources to further your growth. Dame forgot the most important rule of business being "you will always need help." You have to build these relationships and Dame seemed to be under the impression that he got to where he was by himself. That's why no one fukks with him now. Honestly, I believe they (other execs and powerful people) tried to groom him or show him the ropes and he was just too stubborn to listen. That's what they did with Jay, and that's why Dame was ousted. In the end, Dame's demise was his own doing.
