Dame signed everyone, he signed like 1 artist per month 95 % flopped or didn't drop.
He didn't push Kanye, he signed him. Jay let Dame and other executives handle artists signing and other day to day things. Jay was still the person that first invested in Kanye by giving him his first feature in 02, or it dropped the same time as Champions. Jay just signed of, cause as well all know he was the real boss, he and Def Jam.

And Dipsets popularity was due to themselves, dudes or at least Cam was a "star signing". For SP it was due to them being under The Roc and being skilled.


All the talk about Dame is like saying that Jay-z, Dmx and them were hot due to Lyor Cohen. Some of which were schooled and signed by Dame.
