He’s not lying. In the Bay Area, the closer you live to SF the harder it’s gonna be to live on the 4K unemployment. When the stimulus ran out and that got cut to 1,800 then you can forget about it.

I swear we need an IQ test to post on here. I work as an event manager and my side hustle is a hip hop concert manager/promoter. I was supposed to have a show the day my state shut down. Both of my industries are dead. Luckily my folk own a business and we’re able to hire me.

The only “quick and easy” jobs you can get are in the food industry. And they’ve been shut down every other week.

I have a college education. No grocery store is going to hire me, let alone in a pandemic. I swear y’all don’t go outside there’s no way.

Most of these cats be obtuse on purpose... I don't know if its to make themselves feel better, or they actually don't go outside for real

I’m not downgrading my resume by keeping my degree that I earned out and I’m not taking no little boy job making $10 an hour

Everyone I know that lost they job bounced back quick and found something else. Plenty of industries are still thriving. If you want a job you can find one, granted it may not be what you want. If you are not disabled you have to get off yo ass and get it.

Depends on the industry.

I know a lot of teachers who got fukked when they were moving schools and things popped off. Funding was already hard this year and most teachers were teaching online. Schools were consolidating classes to have more students rather than bring in more teachers. A lot of corporate higher-ups too who were let go and because they make $120k plus in a management position, they were just out of luck because most companies stopped hiring at first. Then at the end of summer started rehiring but moreso for mid-level positions that keep the show running and do the dirty work as opposed to the management overseer.

absolutely stupid. every time i see them now we bump heads over this. $20/hr might not seem like much in the bay area but they were able to provide for themselves and now they're worried about having no income because they wanted to take time off to collect money while not working smh.

Degree in poly sci, went to work for Rosa Parks’ attorney and figured out quick the law game wasn’t for me. I like helping people so I started working at a non profit as an event manager

I’m single with no kids so I kinda cake up and I somewhat make a difference in this crazy world. And I don’t do normal events I work with the Seahawks, news stations, major chains, iheartstudios etc.
