$4000 a month doesnt even cover rent for some, let alone rent + additional bills, let alone rent + additional bills + food. The average salary in the bay area and los angeles is roughly $75k a year.

Unemployment max paid out even with the $600 a week that ended in July is about $35k or so. Thats HALF of what the AVERAGE salary is in The Bay Area you fukking retard. I believe they were furloughed so were approved for unemployment. A couple decided to hold off on going back to work and their position was filled awhile ago. One worked for Costco as a fork lift driver and another worked at a florist.

There were definitely people taking advantage of the system. I'm not going to cosign people deliberately quitting their jobs just so they can collect money from home. But there are plenty of people that were just given a bad hand, and can't go back to work, or have been unable to find work. It's naive to just boil down everyone's experiences to telling them to get a job and it's on them. I'm not going to look down on everybody like that.

The people who need the money the most have to suffer because our government couldn't agree on a deal until the last minute, and when they finally did, our president had to screw everybody over to feed his ego. This could have been resolved a long time ago, but those in charge kept playing peekaboo with people's livelihoods. For those who did everything by the book, it's not on them. It's on our leaders.

I know a girl who rooms with another girl. Both of them were off during the pandemic both of their jobs called them back within the past 2 months. One of them decided to go back to work. The other didn't. The one thst didnt, cant get her job back because they hired somebody else.

I own a promotion company in San Francisco, which obviously nightclubs are closed so when this happened I put some money into acquiring a cannabis dispensary (delivery) license. Now im on weedmaps, getnugg, etc.
