just stupid... u lose a $20/hr job which was probably replaced by someone else just for a extra 300/600 dollars for a short period of time time

absolutely stupid. every time i see them now we bump heads over this. $20/hr might not seem like much in the bay area but they were able to provide for themselves and now they're worried about having no income because they wanted to take time off to collect money while not working smh.

I guess looking back, I'm kind of glad my job was considered essential, even though I dont think it is lol.

But I probably wouldnt have turned down going back to a $20+/hr job regardless. Say those jobs get filled by others and you are left with $12-$15/hr jobs, all because you depended on the government.

people just don't think long term. they always want the fast money.

I was at work and would think "yeah, and extra 2400 a month on top of my normal unemployment would be nice", then I thought about the extra 8 hrs a day I would have by not being at work and I would be buying a bunch of nonsense lol.

And those weeks go by FAST, then the pressure is on to find work as those benefits run thin

Everyone I know that lost they job bounced back quick and found something else. Plenty of industries are still thriving. If you want a job you can find one, granted it may not be what you want. If you are not disabled you have to get off yo ass and get it.
I swear we need an IQ test to post on here. I work as an event manager and my side hustle is a hip hop concert manager/promoter. I was supposed to have a show the day my state shut down. Both of my industries are dead. Luckily my folk own a business and we’re able to hire me.

The only “quick and easy” jobs you can get are in the food industry. And they’ve been shut down every other week.

I have a college education. No grocery store is going to hire me, let alone in a pandemic. I swear y’all don’t go outside there’s no way.

TLRepublicans in this thread boy... on a supposedly black forum too.. It's not just the politicians in this country who are on their high horses and out of touch. Yall think because you make 50k and can work from home, you can look down on others and make sweeping generalizations about people being unskilled, lazy or cheating the system. Meanwhile the true elites are looking at yall fakers like absolute filth and don't give a shyt about yall either.

You idiots are a part of the 99% like everyone else but want to pretend you are elite and speak down on your people :snoop:

That's really all it boils down to. Some people get in these threads and look down on people getting that ridiculous amount of unemployed money, and now that they see that the government's childish selfishness has screwed over millions of people, presumably for months, their first response is to say: "Too bad, you fukks, get a job. If you had been more responsible, none of this would have happened. :mjpls:"

I don't know where that contempt comes from. As quiet as it's kept, there are going to be people on here celebrating when the Senate refuses to pass the $2000 check, Trump's pettiness lets the original bill die and millions end up starving and homeless. :unimpressed:

THE JOBS ARE THERE. SOME PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO GO BACK AND SOME ARE JUST LAZY.
* disclaimer this doesnt apply to residents in California, New York, DC, Seattle or any place where your rent/bills add up to over 3k a month.

make sure when yall spread this non sense, it applies to all Americans, especially those in big metro areas and not just bumfukk alabama where $18-20/hr you can live on
