I can first hand confirm that HIIT cardio is the truth.

What has helped me is joining classes at the gym rather than doing solo workouts which I find tedious at times.

My gym does free HIIT cardio classes three times a week and I try to attend atleast two.

Disagreed. :russell:

I'm the biggest, leanest, stronkest motherfukker in the two different foreign gyms I've been to this week and I've eaten like shyt all week (i.e. like I normally do). Prolly grabbing drive-thru once I leave this hoe. :dead:

IME the folks claiming diet trumps everything are the folks that don't even go HAM in the gym.

You can outwork a bad diet but only if you actually put in work. Most folks don't and then wonder why they don't see those optimal benefits.

I know ppl who do natural bodybuilding competitions. They diet down to get shredded. When folks have fat kids, they tell them to get active and change their diet. The Miami heat has a strict regimen and diet… anyone try at has ever had to lose weight will tell you it matters

I know folks that do natty bbing too, including a boss with an IFBB pro card. :unimpressed:

Dieting down to single digit bodyfat for a few hours on stage doesn't mean shyt in the context of this discussion.

You also neglected the fact that natty BBers do way more reps/sets and conditioning than non-athletes do, so using them as an example is disingenuous.

Nothing you say or post is gonna change my mind on this my dude; it's possible to outwork a "bad" diet but most folks simply don't work hard enough. :manny:

I can agree with this i got that problem when i go to the gym. Diet is definitely important if you not really putting in work like that. Like I was telling my coworker she could still eat bad but you just gotta work harder to burn those calories

I’m not gonna be in the gym 3 hours. I don’t have time. I couldn’t easily eat cleaner tho. Well, not easily bc that harder than going to the gym

I'm in a commercial gym right now. Been here for 50 minutes squatting and not a single person has touched a barbell except for one spicy cac who did some deadlifts at like 315.

(It's four whole power racks in this bytch. :francis: )

When your workout:
  • Takes an hour or less and isn't a METCON or cardio-only session
  • Has strength training utilizing mostly unweighted calis or machines
  • Only occurs three or four times a week
  • Doesn't push you past the point of mental and/or exhaustion or muscular or technical failure
you prolly didn't go that hard. Sorry if that's hard to hear. :yeshrug:

There are plenty of ways to increase efficiency without dramatically increasing time:
  • Super/giant setting lifts
  • Doing more barbell compounds and fewer band/cable/machine isos
  • Doing more compounds in general
  • Taking shorter rest periods, especially if it's not a heavy barbell lift
  • Increasing weekly workout frequency
  • Doing more MISS/HIIT cardio sessions over LISS sessions
And that's just off the dome and only gym/workout shyt, not even other little "life hacks" one could do.

If the op actually serious

Do mostly cardio and jumping rope
Do sit ups, crunches, and push ups
Ween yourself off junk food frequently
Wouldn’t recommend drinking a gallon of water unless you’re really working out or else it’ll put a lot of fluid on your body
As for weights bench press, chest fly, dumbbell curls or the machine you can curl with, tricep extensions.

Maybe only eat twice a day

This advice based off what logic/wisdom? Seems hella random.
